The atmosphere, the service & the cocktails were great. It's an earthy vibe with natural money tree plants & tan wood furniture. The staff is very friendly & prompt & the cocktails were tasty. Other than that, the food was mediocre. It seems very popular & highly rated with a Michelin mention so had higher expectations & was definitely underwhelmed.
The shrimp ceviche was chewy & the bhel was stale, the lamb korma was tangy? the meat was tender but It was so tangy that I was very confused, the side of rice was either undercooked or stale cause It was crunchy. The mushroom pakora & chicken momos were good. Nothing fancy
If you've had really good Indian fusion food from the US: NY, PA, DE, MD, NJ; London areas; I think you'd feel the same underwhelm. Their reservations are also mostly sold out. Honestly felt like we could have just tried a local spot instead of coming back on a day they had reservations available for last seating. Just my personal taste & preference! Deff try It out cause maybe we went on a bad day
The rice was slightly undercooked, which made it difficult to eat. The trout had a strong fishy taste & did not seem very fresh. While the concept of fusion is interesting, the food overall was average, & we've had better Indian fusion elsewhere. The drinks were also fairly standard.
Staff is friendly!
We went with the blind menu & we're in love with the indian fusion food. Filling for 2 & a child, we rolled back home. ☺?
We were celebrating a special occasion & the team was very friendly & kind.
We just tried the tasting Menu & loved it. Always love to come back to this restaurant for their Indian food with twist. Hats-off to whoever thought of something extraordinary… & the chefs who recreated those with absolute perfection.
We really love Indian food so the idea of fusion option seemed appealing. We were visiting Quebec City & saw the restaurant received some good reviews so we were excited to dine here. Unfortunately, our party of 4 left deeply disappointed due to service issues & food not being all that great. This was for a very special birthday (which I noted in our online reservation notes ) so I felt extra disappointed. .
It's possible a language barrier was part of our issue but it was hard to order & we tried to ask questions about the dishes but didn't get much information. We also found it odd there was no drink menu at all. In general our waitress was unfriendly & very inattentive.
We finally ordered a few snacks & main dishes & they all came to the table at once - except one person in our party didn't get their dish at all. We waited another 15 mins for it to arrive. We asked about the status of the dish with our waitress & she didn't seem to care at all. I ordered the tandoori cauliflower & it wasn't fully cooked as well as the eggplant dish which came with rice crackers but it wasn't clear how they both went together. The papadum we ordered was actually quite spicy but the menu doesn't indicate it would be I like spice but it was too much for me.
I had high hopes for this restaurant because of the positive review- but my experience left much to be desired, both in terms of service & the food we finally got. Perhaps the tasting menu would be the way to go but ordering Individual dishes wasn't great.
I would not recommend this restaurant - it was one of the most disappointing meals & service I've had in the last few years. It was for a birthday which made it that much more disappointing for us.
Go for the experience & unique flavours! It is inspired from Indian cuisine but has its own spin to it!
We had an incredible experience! As the website says this is fusion not traditional Indian. Alex the owner took care of us along with Martin & the rest of the wonderful team. We did the Discovery menu which gave us the opportunity to try many dishes. We loved every single dish but our tops were the paneer, the cashew sauce on the side of lamb kebabs & the eggplant (said my husband that doesn't prefer for it). Thanks for a great meal!
Amazing food. Indian with a local twist. Beautifully presented. The portions were small, but everything was delicious. Very creative.
An incredible experience from start to finish. Our waiter (young man with curly hair) was so attentive & knew the menu inside out. We went for the discovery menu & it did not disappoint, with so many interesting dishes & great flavours. The Indian Mule cocktail is also worth trying!
I had the dahi puri, achari chicken & chapati. The Dahi Puri was pretty ok, like definitely satisfying - but I didn't really understand the'twist' - it was there in writing but not in taste. It was also an average Dahi Puri that you'd get at an Indian restaurant.
The Chicken was not good - I understand this is fusion but a foundational component of south asian cooking is not using chciekn skin, it's always discarded. So it have it on chicken tikka was very confusing, added essentially nothing, & was hard to remove because they top the sauce on it. The sauce was also very forgettable, I think anyone can make a superior version at home from a good recipe.
The chapati was not cooked so I didn't eat it all.
The mango masala mocktail was a highlight! Overall, I would not return but kudos to them for attempting a fun concept!
