Impeccable!
Great wines, perfectly executed small plates & well timed excellent service. All that fairly priced too! My only regret is not having a party of 4 so that we could try the entire menu. Definitely book in advance if you're visiting Baie St-Paul, they don't do walk-ins.

We happened to walk past Buvette Gentille by chance, & what we saw from the outside immediately convinced us that we wanted to have dinner there.

The restaurant has a fantastic open-kitchen concept, which creates a relaxed & welcoming atmosphere & lets you watch the team at work throughout the evening.

The service was incredibly welcoming & attentive throughout the entire evening. After we asked a question about how the scallops were prepared, the chef personally came to our table & explained the cooking process to us in detail, which was a really nice touch.

The food was local, creative, & beautifully put together. The mushrooms with carrot & kimchi were the absolute highlight of the evening.

We were also very impressed by the wine selection, featuring a great mix of Canadian, French, & German wines.

Overall, a fantastic experience & a place we would happily recommend!

Truly one of the best meals we have ever had to date! The menu is very carefully curated to feature local ingredients that are in season. Plates are made to be shared & they recommend 5 to 6 per group of 2. They have an incredible wine list as well. Very reasonable pricing for such an elite but unpretentious dining experience.

Excellent choice of Quebec wine. Portions are small - more of a'share' plate expereince, almost tapas. Hipster, low key but high end food atmosphere. Excellent service. really enjoyed my meal

We feel so fortunate to have discovered La Buvette Gentille on a quiet Sunday evening in while in Charlevoix. We are staying at a resort nearby & were looking for a change of scenery. The food & atmosphere were exceptional & each bite was beyond our expectations. We loved that everything was local & the team knew the producers & how each product was made including the wines, foie gras, seafood & meats. We would go out of our way to stop here again.

Excellent food & service! The wine selection was great with a lot of interesting choices by the glass. My favourite dishes were the cod, leeks & beef but everything was really well made with lots of flavours & local ingredients. I definitely recommend & will be back when visiting baie saint-paul!

5 star experience! Ambiance & setting were very welcoming. From the music, to the seating arrangement & even the bathroom art!
Quality of the food was EXCEPTIONAL thanks to the amazing chef 👏🏼, scallops to die for, pasta dish that blew my mind & a baloney sandwich that I wish I would have ordered!! The service was impeccable & wine pairings were spot on!
