Je mets rarement 5 étoiles mais là, c'est la surprise complète!, la devanture ne paie pas de mine mais une fois entrés, des patrons adorables, repas de qualité & cuisine québécoise pour un prix correct, un cadre finement décoré, un accueil chaleureux, je conseille vivement!.

We found this place by google Maps in Quebec City because there is an affordable parking in front of it! (20 dollars for 24 hours! Haha). From the second we walked in, the experience was amazing. The girl who welcomed us was super friendly & honestly changed the whole vibe in the best way. She was so sweet & helpful, & the way she spoke to us made everything feel extra special.

We weren't very hungry, so she suggested we share the shepherd's pie instead of getting two small plates & it was the perfect idea. It was really tasty & felt healthy as well. The service was just as good as the food, & she checked in with us with the same friendly energy all the way through.

The inside of the restaurant was adorable. It had really cute decorations, even the bathroom had its own style, & they had a little game console in the middle too. Everything looked & felt fresh & homemade. We sat outside since it was a bit cold inside, but we loved the whole experience & would definitely go back.

Nous avons commandé une soupe du jour (crème & poix-verts ce jour-là), une soupe à l'oignon & du grilled cheese. L'ambiance des lieux était vraiment superbe, très décoré, beaucoup d'animation (sans que ça ne nous empêche de nous entendre), de la bonne musique ! La serveuse était très souriante & serviable. Nous nous en sommes sortis pour à peu près vingt dollars, & c'était très bon, le fromage sur la soupe à l'oignon était bien gratiné, & la soupe du jour était très réussie, nous repasserons !

Magnifique resto de quartier. L'ambiance chaleureuse créée par son décor éclectique & ses employé.es sympas est unique à Québec. La nourriture est préparée avec amour & est toujours délicieuse. Matchs d'impros, jeux de sociétés, show de drag & soirées DJ, c'est l'endroit parfait pour une bière entre amis, faire la fête ou une sortie en famille. Merci La Cuisine!!

In our first day in Quebec, we stoped in La Cuisine for a quick lunch before arriving to the hotel. It was raining a lot, so the convenience parking lot just in front of the restaurant was a plus. Also, they are very welcoming & they cook just in there that you can see. The food was so delicious as well as the dessert. Another thing is the concept of the space, they have a many different things to decorate the restaurant that make it unique. They reminded me my early years with a Mario Bro TV game that was so nostalgic. The seat & tables as well as the dishes & cups are all mixed which also made this place authentic. They provided us water in a bottler not as the traditional water jar. In the way to the bathroom, there are many music posters from back in the days which is pretty interesting to look at them & remembering some of them. We stayed there like an hour or so & it was a pleasure to start our journey in Quebec in La Cuisine. They speak in French & English as well. I recommend this place. & I feel bad that I forgot the name of the person who took care of our order. But thank you for your attention.

Quebecois dishes done to the perfection, DJs after 10, cool staff & crowd. The decor is retro which a nice artistic touch just like their food.

Interesting place. Kitchen is behind the bar, which was a first for me. Decor is interesting. They were doing improv the night we were there. Food was pretty good, however grilled cheese was smaller than expected.
