I ordered the French onion soup & the pizza, & both were far below my expectations. The onion soup lacked the rich, deep flavor I was expecting, & the pizza was not good at all. Since I specifically came to experience authentic local cuisine in Quebec, this meal was very disappointing. The service was fine, but the food quality simply didn't justify the reputation. I wouldn't come back or recommend it based on my experience.
Wow 🤯♥? definitely try the onion soup with grilled cheese🙂??? the cabbage-roll with mashed potato is AWESOME 🤌🏻 ambiance= local & friendly 🙂??? (p.s. just be prepared to take a food-coma nap afterwards)
This place was filled with what appeared to be with the locals & that was itself a good sign as we entered. The food was good & had a very home made feel to it. The staff were very warm. The place was very cozy. Overall an experience I highly recommend to people visiting Quebec City to step out of the Vieux-Quebec tourist spots.
Went to this restaurant with a beautiful girl after a long, cold day. We were looking for some home cooked comfort food & this place was just that. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very neat, you could stay there for hours looking at all of the various items used for decoration. The food was unique yet simple & it made for a nice meal. Unfortunately the service was a little bit slow because the place was busy but the atmosphere & food made up for it. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for something unique & local.
It's local French cuisine, we ordered onion soups, pizza. Lasagna, pate pies , cabbage rolls all great taste & reasonable price.
Loved the food, friendly staff, cute decor - highly recommended, one of the most favourite local spots in the area.
Cool bar with a fun, eclectic vibe. Seemed it was a one woman show when we were in, & she somehow managed to handle both the food & the drinks on her own. Impressive!
Neither my wife or I speak much French unfortunately, but the bartender/cook's English was good & she was very friendly.
Great spot to checkout as a tourist, but most of the people hanging out seemed like they were regulars/locals.
This place is a local gem! As tourists we were lucky to find this as it was close to our hotel. Much better food & service than the places we visited at old Québec. Totally recommend the french onion soup. The best we experienced in Québec 😍😋
Local cafe with interesting comfort food. This place is really great. They add a different dimension to pizza & nachos. It's a great place to get a beer too. Love the sidewalk seating.
Really enjoyed the laid-back & cozy vibe of this restaurant. The menu is small & simple. We tried the lasagna, shepherd's pie, & onion soup based on other reviews, & all three were very good. The drinks were great too. Not a five-star just because nothing totally blew us away, but definitely worth a visit if you're looking for good local food in a chill setting.
