Back in the day, when Savoyard shepherds wanted to warm up, they poured a little coffee and a lot of alcohol into a wooden shoe, hence the name “grolle”. Later, these shepherds made wooden containers that included several holes specifically designed for this recipe. There are now several sizes of grolles depending on the number of guests (from 2 holes to 8 holes). The grolle, also known as the “cup of friendship”, usually gets passed from hand to hand and should not come back on the table until it is finished.

It feels like a lovely Swiss chalet inside very cozy . Great atmosphere felt like I was walking into someone's home kitchen fabulous. Reanne made us feel at home!!! She was great! The best fondue I've ever had. The cheese had amazing flavor ! The filet quality was tender & it was seasoned with sesame seeds, when toasted in the broth, it came alive with flavor. Highly recommend.

We were in Switzerland last & eat fondue at two different cities. This place has better cheese & beef broth than any place in Switzerland. We highly recommend this place!

Omg fondue! I had murdered & I think emmenthat fondue. My dining companion ordered fondue with tomato. She also ordered vegetables to dip in her fondue. I stuck mostly with bread. Would go again!

Notre expérience fut wow ! C'était la première fois que nous y allions & clairement que ce ne sera pas la dernière.
Nous avons pris la triplette de fondue & Olivier notre serveur a été sur la coche. Ça faisait longtemps que je n,avais pas eu un aussi bon service.
Je recommande X 1000 & la fondue au fromage & chinoise étaient exquises.

The staff here are absolutely amazing & very attentive. The restaurant was super clean. We ordered the traditional Chinese fondue for two . The first course was a lovely cheese fondue with a variety of breads. The second course was thinly sliced beef that we cooked in the most amazing broth & the dessert was a platter of seasonal & favourite fruits with a lovely chocolate fondue sauce , aside from being more food than we could possibly eat each course was absolutely amazing. We would highly recommend making the time for a nice leisure dinner at La Grolla.
