Back in the day, when Savoyard shepherds wanted to warm up, they poured a little coffee and a lot of alcohol into a wooden shoe, hence the name “grolle”. Later, these shepherds made wooden containers that included several holes specifically designed for this recipe. There are now several sizes of grolles depending on the number of guests (from 2 holes to 8 holes). The grolle, also known as the “cup of friendship”, usually gets passed from hand to hand and should not come back on the table until it is finished.

Européens passaient votre chemin... Une ambiance comme chez nos grands parents, sympathique ! Le service est accueillant mais distant. Un beau plus pour une jeune femme blonde qui nous a servi plusieurs plats qui était très souriante ! Concernant la nourriture, grande déception. Nous attendions une raclette nous rappelant la Suisse & nous avons reçu un fromage manquant de goût n'étant en aucun cas un fromage à raclette. À 47$ ++ la raclette, nous attendions un plat à volonté dans la même optique que celle de Mont-Tremblant mais non. L'idée est magnifiquement bonne, qui ne se laisserait pas tenter par une raclette suisse en tout temps ! Il ne manque plus qu'un fromage & une charcuterie de qualité... Pour 4 personnes, 4 petite salade & une bouteille d'eau, nous en avons eu pour 300$ incluant taxes & pourboires... aussi cher qu'un restaurant au Fairmont Frontenac. Dommage...

We enjoyed Raclette with a charcuterie , we were encouraged to place two orders for the two of us but one would have been plenty! The chunk of Raclette was a good size.

Un incontournable quand on vient a Québec City. En temps que français vivant dans la partie anglophone, c'est plus qu'un plaisir & c'est excellent !
If you never had a cheese fondue or Raclette or meat fondue "bourguignonne" you have to go & try. Your taste buds will thank you!

Amazing service & amazing food. We had the raclette & it was not only a great meal but also an experience. Really recommend eating at this restaurant when visiting Quebec City.

Les portions sont trop petites. La portion pour 2 de raclette + entrées + assiette de légumes n'était pas assez pour 1 adulte & 1 enfant. Il faut donc reprendre une assiette supplémentaire. de viande. Pour le prix il faudrait vraiment revoir les portions!!!
