Back in the day, when Savoyard shepherds wanted to warm up, they poured a little coffee and a lot of alcohol into a wooden shoe, hence the name “grolle”. Later, these shepherds made wooden containers that included several holes specifically designed for this recipe. There are now several sizes of grolles depending on the number of guests (from 2 holes to 8 holes). The grolle, also known as the “cup of friendship”, usually gets passed from hand to hand and should not come back on the table until it is finished.

Excellente expérience, la bouffe est bonne, les portions sont excellentes & la qualité est présente. Un beau clin d'oeil à notre serveuse qui travaille à l'hôpital comme brancardiére de jour & le soir au resto. C'est ce genre de service reçu qui donne le goût de revenir dans ce genre de restaurant

Nous sommes allés pour la Saint-Valentin. Nourriture excellente. Nous avons pris deux tables d'hôtes & une bouteille de vin. Tout était délicieux, le serveur courtois nous a même offert l'apéritif. La facture était raisonnable nous y retournerons 🤗

We had ordered the three course Fondue, each of which was terrific. Meal took 2.5 hours which was a little long. But food was great & server was very nice.

Really tasty food! We missed our on the burnt cheese at the end. We tried to scrape it ourselves but apparently the staff can help scrape it fully. Those things are gold!!

Nous avons passé une très bonne soirée. Le service était impeccable, notre serveur avait une belle énergie & était à l'écoute. Merci encore lui pour son dynamisme !
La nourriture était bonne. Seul petit point négatif c'est la quantité. Nous avions des fondues, nous étions sur notre faim la concernant
La prochaine fois nous essayerons la raclette !
