Back in the day, when Savoyard shepherds wanted to warm up, they poured a little coffee and a lot of alcohol into a wooden shoe, hence the name “grolle”. Later, these shepherds made wooden containers that included several holes specifically designed for this recipe. There are now several sizes of grolles depending on the number of guests (from 2 holes to 8 holes). The grolle, also known as the “cup of friendship”, usually gets passed from hand to hand and should not come back on the table until it is finished.

Probably the best meal we've had in Quebec City. We got the Quebec cheese fondue for 4 with bread, veggies, charcuterie, & potatoes & a bottle of wine. Very unique decor & our waiter Oliver was fantastic. Highly recommend!!

Juste une petite chose que vous devriez améliorer. Ça fait deux fois qu'on réserve par téléphone & on demande une table spécifique (le numéro de cette table). On appelle 1 mois avant la réservation pour être sûr d'avoir cette table & lorsqu'on arrive, on nous donne une autre table même si on nous a réservé cette table très en avance. On comprend que des fois c'est plus difficile de le faire mais on penserait qu'avec une réservation en avance on aurait cette table. À part ça tout est PARFAIT :)

Un seul bémol : l'appareil pour la raclettes peut chauffer qu'un petit bout de fromage à la fois ce qui donne un bon temps d'attente quand on est plusieurs dessus. À trois c'était limité mais correcte. À plus que trois j'espère qu'il y a 2 appareils. Sinon très bon restaurant.

Parfait endroit pour les amateurs de fondue!! Nous avons pris le trio de fondues & c'était excellent, & très copieux. Belle variété de sauces en accompagnement, & fondue à
l'érable en dessert délicieuse... Bien que l'endroit soit très rustique, il cadre bien avec le style de bouffe qu'on y propose. Mon seul regret est qu'il n'y ait pas de poulet proposé pour la fondue. Je recommande sans hésitation!

Cute restaurant with delicious food. Good service as well. The chinese fondue was just meat & broth though, I was honestly expecting it to come with vegetables..One thing that confused me were the portions, since we were ordering from the table dhote menu where you got a cheese fondue, meat & chocolate for dessert. We were 3 couples who each got this, but the dishes were combined- instead of per couple it was a serving for the group. I know I was out with friends but wasn't looking to be sharing between everyone. At the end the chocolate fondue was just a little 2 oz bowl for 6 ppl & it was mostly marshmallows, no fruit or cake to dip

Un peu cher pour ce qu'on se fait servir. Aucun accompagnement inclus avec le trio de fondues, doit payer un supplément pour avoir des crudités.
