Back in the day, when Savoyard shepherds wanted to warm up, they poured a little coffee and a lot of alcohol into a wooden shoe, hence the name “grolle”. Later, these shepherds made wooden containers that included several holes specifically designed for this recipe. There are now several sizes of grolles depending on the number of guests (from 2 holes to 8 holes). The grolle, also known as the “cup of friendship”, usually gets passed from hand to hand and should not come back on the table until it is finished.

Le restaurant est super, le décor est top, les personnels sont serviables. les prix sont exagérés! bon nos voisins de tables étaient bruyants, mon date est tombé à l'eau!

J'aurais mis 5 étoiles pour l'ambiance qui était calme & cozy, avec une agréable musique de fond. Le seul bémol que je mets est pour le "spot" blanc FROID(!) qui nous éblouissait & qui gâchait un peu la belle ambiance. (nous étions le groupe au fond à droite). Pour le reste, rien à redire, ça a été une EXCELLENTE expérience & perso j'y retournerai surement. Merci & bonne continuité!

Our last visit to Quebec & La Grolla was five years ago. On this visit, La Grolla was on the top of our list. They did not disappoint. Food & service was great.

C'était notre première fois & nous avons été sous le charme de votre resto ! La bouffe était tellement bonne, l'ambiance & que dire du service de Monsieur André. Un monsieur très gentil, accueillant & drôle. Nous reviendrons c'est certain.

Mauvais service pour un restaurant réservé 3 mois d'avance. J'avais indiqué que c'était l'anniversaire de ma conjointe. Fondue a l'huile très bonne. Fondue au fromage moyenne & choix de menue pour Fondue au fromage assez moyen... par exemple extra pour des patates c'est assez bas de game. Mauvais service & mauvaise table.

Convivial, chaleureux, bonne cuisine, un peu inconfortable pour les bancs. Comme tout les resto à Québec oublié le stationnement. J'ai aimé & si l'occasion se présente, j'y retournerai.
