One got pasta Bolognese, she enjoyed her meal. I got the pasta Alfredo, could only eat two bites, really didn't enjoy it. Waitress was nice. I found this spot quite overpriced for the quality/quantity of food received.
Hmm... this was an interesting one.
Let me start from the beginning.
It was a perfect Sunday evening in Old Québec. We had been walking for hours, completely lost track of time, & by the time we decided to have dinner, there weren't many places still serving food. La Pizz became a natural choice. Since I don't eat meat, pizza or pasta sounded like the perfect option.
I have to start by saying that the service was genuinely very good. The staff were friendly, welcoming, & I honestly enjoyed the experience. Yes, the prices are on the higher side, but considering the location in the heart of the tourist district, that's completely understandable.
The salad was excellent-I really enjoyed it. The pasta had a delicious sauce, nicely balanced with just the right amount of garlic. The pasta itself, however, was a little *too* al dente for my taste.
Now, the pizza...
Unfortunately, it was a disappointment. It seemed noticeably undercooked, with the cheese almost floating on top rather than being properly baked. It reminded me more of a frozen pizza than a freshly made one. That said, I didn't mention it to the staff, so these are simply my personal impressions.
For a restaurant that carries the name La Pizz, I expected the pizza to be the highlight of the meal, especially at that price point. Hopefully it was just an off night, because based on the service & the rest of the food, I truly believe the kitchen can do better.
Service is top notch , shout out to CEZ for exemplary service. Pasta is al dente amazing BOn appetit
Overcooked pizza, much smaller than expected. Looked like a frozen pizza from Trader Joe's. Plus, pasta was undercooked. Service was good, though & so was the seating & athmosphere!
What a charming restaurant! We knew we'd made the right choice for dinner as soon as we walked in because it smelled delicious & Caesar welcomed us in so warmly. I had pizza - delicious! - & my companions both had pasta, which they loved. We're going to go back before we go home so I can have the pasta & they can try the pizza. Also, we shared the lemon meringue for dessert, & we need to go back for more desserts - there was one in the case with caramel on it that looked decadent.
After 2-3 hours of walking around Old Québec in -30°C weather, we tried at least five restaurants - all completely full.
Then we found La Pizz Place Royale, at the perfect moment.
We were a group of seven on a Friday night, without a reservation, & they still had space for us - which honestly saved our evening. We were so cold & exhausted that I needed a few minutes just to sit down & recover. The hot tea brought me back to life.
Even though we were fasting, the custom pizza we ordered was so good that I ended up ordering another one.
The pasta for the kids was also very good, with decent portions.
Yes, the price is a bit higher ($20) for an 8-9 inch pizza, but considering the location & quality, it's completely understandable.
Overall, a great experience - warm, welcoming, & exactly what we needed at that moment.
We discovered this restaurant while walking through the streets of Quebec City, & this beautiful little spot caught our attention. The food & service are excellent. There were four of us, & we ordered two pizzas (each pizza is for one person), lasagna, & pasta Bolognese. The food was delicious, the lasagna was super juicy, & the extra bread for $2 was well worth it. For dessert, we ordered tiramisu & shared it between two, & it was also super delicious. I highly recommend it!
We had a wonderful time at La Pizz restaurant. The food was fresh, tasty, & full of flavor. The pasta & pizza were cooked perfectly, & the desserts were amazing. We got tee, Cappuccino, & Tiramisu, & we liked them. The staff was kind & made us feel welcome. The place felt cozy, with great vibe & atmosphere.
Amazing food & excellent customer service! We tried the vegetarian pizza & Pasta - both were absolutely delicious. Highly recommend!
We were traveling with a toddler, which can make mealtimes a bit tricky, but the staff here went above & beyond to make us feel comfortable. Everyone was so kind & accommodating. We ordered pasta to go (which was absolutely delicious!), but when our little one decided she wanted to stay & eat, they happily switched it for dine-in, only for her to change her mind again! The staff handled it all with such patience & understanding.
Our waiter, Cesear, was especially polite, helpful, & attentive. The combination of fantastic food & truly wonderful service made our experience memorable. We can't recommend this restaurant enough, & we'll definitely be back the next time we're in Quebec City.
