Très belle expérience à cet endroit! L'ambiance décontractée se démarque particulièrement, c'est intime, la playlist musicale est bonne & on peut aisément discuté sans que ce soit trop bruyant.
Le service attentionné & sans artifice, encore une fois, décontracté avec de bons conseils sur les plats & les vins.
Tout ce qu'on a mangé & bu était excellent! Je recommande sans hésiter cet endroit pour une sortie ou une occasion spéciale!

came via Bourdain; restaurant name is Quebec French slang meaning roughly'it's all good'/'we're in business'. food was delicious in a light & natural sense, menu changes based on seasonal availability & maybe that's why options are based around meats but actually the pairing veggies are tasty as well. recommend sweetbread & pork.

Super nice comme endroit. Le staff est particulièrement sympathique & la bouffe est digne d'un resto huppé sans le criss de décorum clinquant inutile. Le riz de veau est juste insane. La carte des vins est originale est permet de découvrir des trucs inusités! Meilleur playlist nostalgique pour n'importe quel trentenaire avec 14 ans d'âge mentale! 10 sur 10, would recommend! Le serveur avait un shirt de Cobalt! Extra point for that legend!

We had dinner in August 2026 & were very impressed. The staff was interesting, knowledgeable, & friendly. The food was some of the best we've had in a long time. I would recommend it highly. RESERVATIONS ARE A MUST.

Three years ago, while visiting Quebec City, my partner & I were told,'You have to try L'affaire est Ketchup.' We gave it a try-& from the very first bite, we understood why everyone recommended it.

Last week, we returned to Quebec City, & before I even packed my suitcase, I made sure to reserve a table there to celebrate my birthday. Some traditions are worth keeping.

Once again, it was an unforgettable experience. The team is warm, welcoming, & incredibly knowledgeable. Their wine recommendations are always spot on, & every dish is thoughtfully prepared & absolutely delicious.

Some restaurants serve great food. Others create an experience that stays with you long after the meal is over. L'affaire est Ketchup is one of those rare places.

Thank you for making my birthday celebration so special. We can't wait to come back. ❤?🥂🍷

This dinner was the highlight of our time in Quebec City. The food was fantastic, but even more special was the experience & atmosphere. The server, bartender, & chefs were all amazing & so talented & friendly. We sat at the bar, which made it extra fun to watch them prepare the food. Their operation is remarkable. If you're solo or a pair, definitely request to sit at the bar. We shared our meals with the solo diner next to us & that communal atmosphere was really representative of the whole experience. Couldn't recommend this restaurant more! & don't skip dessert!

We have never experienced a restaurant quite like this & are glad we did a quick review before our reservation.
The menu is ever revolving, so you do not know your menu until you arrive.
The space is small, they only do two servings a day, once everyone for your booked serving has arrived & has a drink then you will hear what your options are!
We enjoyed some recommended glasses of wine, as we were not provided with a menu, we just trusted our server would know what to pair with the dishes we ordered, & they did!

The food on the menu & that we ordered was phenomenal. Well worth the almost hour wait from sit down to eating our first dish … so do not arrive hungry!

We got a last minute reservation for 6 pm & they were very accomodating to us & our toddler. We sat down & the menu was presented to the whole restaurant by the staff in both French & English. We ordered the asparagus to start & the duck & the halibut for mains. Everything was amazingly delicious & very well-balanced - worth every penny. The restaurant was cozy & relaxed & the staff were friendly & knowledgeable. We highly recommend going here for delicious food & fun vibes. Definitely book in advance!

The entire experience was the height of gastronomic excellence, but served in a warm, friendly & relaxed environment. The menu changes daily but we were blown away by the tomato & burrata, the fresh asparagus, the sweetbreads & the beef shoulder. Definitely the best meal I've had in Quebec. We had the bar table & marvelled that the chef prepared everything on two small electric ovens. Would recommend to anyone wanting a high end culinary treat!
