The food was very good, not great. The service was average, & the atmosphere is unremarkable. Disappointed because there were so many rave reviews we were expecting to be wow'd. Nothing super special about this place.

J'habite Québec depuis 26 ans, & c'est le meilleur restaurant auquel j'ai mangé. Point final. Ambiance parfaite, intime, bonne playlist (!!), concept novateur & surtout, nourriture incroyable ! On va revenir !

Three years ago, while visiting Quebec City, my partner & I were told,'You have to try L'affaire est Ketchup.' We gave it a try-& from the very first bite, we understood why everyone recommended it.

Last week, we returned to Quebec City, & before I even packed my suitcase, I made sure to reserve a table there to celebrate my birthday. Some traditions are worth keeping.

Once again, it was an unforgettable experience. The team is warm, welcoming, & incredibly knowledgeable. Their wine recommendations are always spot on, & every dish is thoughtfully prepared & absolutely delicious.

Some restaurants serve great food. Others create an experience that stays with you long after the meal is over. L'affaire est Ketchup is one of those rare places.

Thank you for making my birthday celebration so special. We can't wait to come back. ❤?🥂🍷

This dinner was the highlight of our time in Quebec City. The food was fantastic, but even more special was the experience & atmosphere. The server, bartender, & chefs were all amazing & so talented & friendly. We sat at the bar, which made it extra fun to watch them prepare the food. Their operation is remarkable. If you're solo or a pair, definitely request to sit at the bar. We shared our meals with the solo diner next to us & that communal atmosphere was really representative of the whole experience. Couldn't recommend this restaurant more! & don't skip dessert!

Food is yummy but they don't have very much options staff is top class the place isn't really as good as expected but they don't really have so much stuff for kids

A special place, the perfect experience. Don't leave without ordering the sweetbread…& get the dessert.

Some of the best dishes in Quebec, in a carefree relaxed environment. A shared experience at the start as the menu is explained. Each dish has remarkable flavour, & technical depth.

Like hanging out at your friends apartment, if your friend was a Michelin chef.

Recently stayed with a group for a 40th birthday weekend. Made a reservation here for a group of 5. We arrived & were told we did not have a reservation. Then after explaining we called & spoke to someone a few days previously, they found our reservation but said it had been cancelled (not by us). Accidents happen, but they were not very apologetic & were quite dismissive. We ended up at a Michelin star place nearby that was very accommodating & the service was lovely.

Such a unique experience! The restaurant is small, only about 10 tables, & the menu is presented verbally in French & English to everyone at the same time. We had the tomato & octopus appetizers & then the duck breast & beef, & it was all incredible. Because everything is such close quarters our clothes smelled strongly of butter & fish when we left, but we kind of loved that, too.
