Le Clocher Penché is widely regarded as a standout dining destination in Quebec City, known for its creative menu, professional service, and inviting atmosphere. Guests frequently praise the high-quality ingredients, with many highlighting the hanger steak, homemade bread with compound butter, and inventive desserts as memorable favorites. The restaurant is often noted for its warm and welcoming staff who take the time to guide diners through unique culinary offerings, making it a reliable choice for both special occasions and casual visits. From the moment we walked in, we could tell this was going to be a wonderful dining experience. Beginning with a dozen freshly shucked oysters complemented with a wonderful'pepper' sauce served cleverly in a dropper. & a shaved ice Bloody Mary compote. Our second course was a halibut crudo with pickled ginger & curry. Complimenting our first two courses were wonderful cocktails. For the entrees, we shared the Black Cod which was the fish of the day & the homemade pasta of the day. We topped the evening off with the white chocolate crème broule & an espresso martini. The service was wonderful. Our server was friendly & attentive. Michelin star? No argument here.

This place is very clean & waitress are extremely nice & friendly. We ordered bread with butter, organic fresh cheese with duck ham, Lion's mane, throttle Al limone. Every dish is out of world delicious! The baked Alaska is also so yummy. This is the best restaurant I have ever eaten. Hands down 10 stars!

Such a beautiful place in Quebec with amazing quality & flavors! Loved the green interior it felt so welcoming & artsy. The staff is so nice & willing to explain each menu item. The flavors of the dishes were so exotic & unique, & many were definitely an acquired taste. You have to be an adventurous eater to enjoy everything. Everything is so fresh & presented beautifully. I really enjoyed the lion's mane mushroom dish & the lemon pasta specifically. The others were great as well, but not AS standout. Portions were quite small but that is expected, so you have to order many to feel full. For a Michelin restaurant, the prices were great! Coming to be around ~$50 USD per person!

The food was incredible, but even better than that was the service! Two of us shared the homemade bread service; the organic fresh cheese w/ cucumber, duck ham, & escabeche; beef tartare w/ gochujang, miso, & mushrooms; morels with comté cheese flan (sublime!); lemon pasta; pork belly + pasta; & crème brûlée. One of the best meals I've had anywhere in the last few years. Bravo!

We had a wonderful dining experience at Le Clocher Penché during our visit to Quebec City. The restaurant has beautiful interior design & the customer service was warm & attentive throughout the evening.

We ordered the fried mushrooms, bread with compound butter, lion's mane mushroom dish, & the fish of the day, which was halibut. The staff was incredibly accommodating with my dietary restrictions & kindly substituted the nduja sauce with a salsa verde instead. The salsa verde was fresh, vibrant, full of texture, & paired perfectly with the fish. It ended up being one of my favourite dishes from the entire trip.

We also really enjoyed the bread & compound butter along with the lion's mane dish. The fried mushrooms were good, though we felt the batter absorbed a bit too much oil & could have benefited from more crunch to better highlight the flavour of the mushrooms themselves.

For dessert, we tried both the baked Alaska & the salted crème brûlée. Although the presentation of the crème brûlée could have been a bit better, the flavour was excellent. The addition of sea salt gave it a unique twist that made it stand out from a traditional crème brûlée.

Overall, this was a memorable meal with thoughtful service, creative dishes, & a beautiful atmosphere. We would gladly return on a future visit to Quebec City.

A friend who we were dining with recommended this very lovely, Michelin Guide-listed restaurant. The place had a really nice ambience, was very well presented, & the service was very friendly & efficient.

The menu took a little explaining, but then we had such a great choice of wonderfully created dishes.

Eventually, I settled on:

- Lamb moussaka + mornay + eggplant + tomato coulis + chip

-Trottole al limone + parmesan + mascarpone + tarragon + hazelnut

- Baked Alaska + frozen parfait + italian meringue + blueberry

The moussaka was rich & full of flavour, with shredded lamb. A great way to start. The trotolle pasta was deliciously cheesy, but fresh & lemony. The baked Alaska was very nicely done. What a great meal! Highly recommended.

A wonderful experience. Our server was knowledgeable & attentive. The food was excellent-thoughtfully crafted with fresh & delicious ingredients. We had the oysters, moussaka & homemade pasta & all of them were superb. Great music, beautiful atmosphere, cozy & convivial. Highly recommend. Note that the expense per person includes two mains, one shared dessert (crème brûlée-excellent) 2 high-quality beers & a glass of pinot noir plus tip.

I'm writing this review as we just finished our dessert & had to make sure I share my experience because I hope anyone who reads this review understands that you need to come here.

From the beginning, we had such amazing service from our hostess Livia & server Zachary. We had a lovely wine recommendation & the food..

Every single bite we took made us go, wow. The combination of flavours, textures - everything worked so well together. We started off with the Fresh Cheese & Mackerel, followed by the Casarecce & Fish of the day (cod). The meats were so tender, melting in our mouths.. finally, the Baba dessert! I could have 10 of those.

If you are still looking for a good place to experience some amazing cuisine, look no further. We'll be back & recommending all our friends visiting Quebec City.

What an experience! I must say . From the food to the service, it was impeccable. Huge shoutout to our server Vincent who was not only polite & attentive but so detailed with explaining each dish & suggesting some delectable cocktails!
I didn't even go through the drinks menu , just asked for his suggestions & that was it.

We ordered the bread with the compound butter ( which was great by the way)as we thought the dishes would take time to come out of the kitchens but that wasn't so, the service was fast & efficient.

Next we ordered the Fresh cheese & the black pudding. Both were nice but the black pudding was the dish of the night hands down! It was an explosion of flavours in your mouth.

We then had the fish of the day. The cod was cooked to absolute prefection! Our other main course was Labneh & tahini ( which is a must have if you are looking for vegetarian options)

We ended the night on the best note with the amazing crème brûlée ( it was special ) & it was enough for 2 people.

All in all an amazing experience & a must visit for sure if you're in Quebec.
