Le Clocher Penché represents a refined intersection of traditional French culinary techniques and modern regional influences. The kitchen prioritizes seasonal produce sourced from local growers, ensuring the menu reflects the shifting bounty of the surrounding landscape. Signature offerings frequently showcase elevated takes on bistro classics, emphasizing precise preparation and balanced flavor profiles. Diners encounter a space defined by high ceilings and exposed brickwork, fostering a focused environment conducive to concentrated appreciation of the meal. The kitchen maintains rigorous standards, crafting everything from artisanal terrines to complex sauces from scratch. Every dish serves as a testament to the versatility of core French principles adapted to the ingredients found within the province. This commitment to provenance and technique dictates the cadence of the experience, prioritizing clarity of flavor over excessive ornamentation.
Le Clocher Penché offers a memorable dining experience characterized by creative, high-quality cuisine that highlights fresh and locally sourced ingredients. Guests frequently praise the inventive flavor profiles and beautiful presentation of dishes such as the hanger steak, homemade pasta, and various seasonal offerings. The atmosphere is consistently described as warm, stylish, and convivial, with an open kitchen that adds to the engaging experience. While the majority of diners celebrate the attentive and professional service provided by the knowledgeable staff, the restaurant remains a top recommendation for those seeking a polished yet welcoming culinary destination in Quebec City.
We had such a wonderful experience at Le Clocher Penché! The food was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented, & full of flavor. It was the perfect choice for my birthday dinner. 🎂❤?
A special thank you to Gabby, our server, who was so kind, attentive, & welcoming. Everyone who assisted us throughout the evening was so nice, friendly, & professional. They all made us feel very welcome & made our experience even more special.
We truly enjoyed our evening & will definitely come back. Highly recommended! ✨🍽?❤?
The service was so good at this restaurant I reconsider most of my past restaurant experiences. It was clear this staff works as if all the clientele are there own. Water must of been addressed 6 times, refilling our glasses as a norm. At least 4 staff addressed our table. The waiter was extremely knowledgeable of all products offered & tastefully engaged when ordering products that could come with a disclaimer of sorts (see Rosé De Gambrinus).
The food was perfectly cooked with great combinations of flavour profiles that were chic to say the least.
The open kitchen adds to an atmosphere of feeling part of the hip aura that was inside & out the walls. Highly recommend.
Superb food, great service & yummy cocktails. What a great evening! Our favourites were the beef tongue, the shishito peppers in escabeche, & the yummy take on key lime pie meets baked Alaska for dessert. Also the cocktails. Would highly recommend!
We had a wonderful dinner here on our first night in Quebec City. A warm & inviting welcome, delicious food, & very cool vibes inside. The mushroom dish with comte fondue was our favorite. Highly recommend!
Le Clocher Penché delivered an exceptional dining experience for our executive team dinner. Each dish was beautifully plated, thoughtfully composed, & prepared with remarkable finesse. The service was warm, attentive, & polished, perfectly complementing the elegant cuisine. A truly memorable, Michelin-caliber restaurant that I would highly recommend.
We were staying at a hotel across the street & found this place by accident. I will say, highly recommended. We had the Quebec cheese as a starter (think like a triple cream) & shared the fish of the day (a cod) as a main. Delicious. The service is also paced such that you can enjoy the slower evening & really have a great experience.
Wonderful meal & fantastic cocktails! Dishes showcased creative ingredients & beautifully balanced flavors. The staff have a strong command of the menu & wine list. I highly recommend it!
Had a birthday dinner with my spouse & daughter, food was excellent but we were really disappointed with the level of service. We were seated in the back with a large group that was arriving & service quality was there but were forgotten. We felt we spent the whole night waiting. We had 2 courses & were there from 7:30 to 9;45. Waited almost half an hour before even getting our order. Disappointed as this was highly recommended by friends. I am hoping this is a one off experience.
Everything about this place is an A+, from the communication ahead of time to the friendly greeting by the host at the front door, to the absolutely immaculate service. The food (we ate almost everything on the menu) & the drinks were excellent, I would 100% return without a doubt. This restaurant came highly recommended, & I'm glad it was my first meal in Quebec City - though it did set a high bar for the rest of the visit.
A friend who we were dining with recommended this very lovely, Michelin Guide-listed restaurant. The place had a really nice ambience, was very well presented, & the service was very friendly & efficient.
The menu took a little explaining, but then we had such a great choice of wonderfully created dishes.
The moussaka was rich & full of flavour, with shredded lamb. A great way to start. The trotolle pasta was deliciously cheesy, but fresh & lemony. The baked Alaska was very nicely done. What a great meal! Highly recommended.
