Le Don stands out as a premier destination in Québec City, offering a diverse and flavor-forward vegan menu that consistently impresses both plant-based diners and omnivores alike. Guests frequently highlight the quality of dishes like the mushroom risotto, creamy gnocchi, and the popular lunch specials, all served within a vibrant and quirky atmosphere. While the popularity of this central location can sometimes result in a bustling environment or wait times, the staff is widely praised for being attentive, friendly, and accommodating. Whether visiting for brunch, a special dinner, or a quick midday meal, visitors find the experience memorable, creative, and well worth repeating.
I had ordered Cheeseburger for my children, Don sauce was a bit spicy for them.
Ravioli was sold out at 7pm, so I ordered Pad Thai, it was salty & sour.
Risotto & Fettuccine were good.
Cheese cake tastes like Tofu cake.
When we were still waiting for desserts, servant already put the bill & payment terminal on our table, pushing us to check & leave, as many customers were waiting outside the restaurant.
This was a very popular & busy restaurant. There were always people ready to be seated. A full vegan menu meant easy choices. There were a range of options. Everyone enjoyed their meal. There was a nice vibe. When looking at what we spent please consider that we had 3 mains, 2 entrees, 2 wines, 2 beers, a soda water & 4 desserts
Everything here is on point. We order half sized servings of gnocchi & pasta to save room for dessert. Totally worth it! The Quebecoise specialty, Chômeur, was a treat.

My wife & I had the pleasure of dining at Le Don during our visit to Québec City the first week of April. The restaurant was recommended to us by the staff of Atypiq Hotel & we were not disappointed. The restaurant is located in the port district, adjacent to an extensive area of historical buildings containing art galleries, Michelin starred restaurants, & assorted shops. The ambience is hip & trendy, well suited for couples & small groups. The menu features a wide variety of starters, mains & desserts, along with a nice mix of cocktails & mocktails. We tried the Panko Cauliflower & the Artichoke Dip with chips. Both were delicious, though we felt the Artichoke Dip would have been better heated. My wife had the Pasta Bolognese for her main course, while I had the Mushroom Fettuccine. Quite tasty & the portion sizes were generous (so much so we had to skip dessert). There was only one server on duty that night but he was terrific & we didn't have to wait long for anything. Also, shout out to the friendly kitchen staff who responded personally to our praise for their efforts.
I promise, the pictures will all look great, but…Vegan of over 20 years who loves to eat out. Don was just ok. It would be three stars if it were worth the cost. It felt part of a growing number of places that prioritize presentation over quality of ingredients & preparation. I was asking, is this simply private equity'doing vegan?' Service was excellent. I ate there for dinner. I would bet breakfast would probably be better as the one highlight was the dessert. I had lunch at Les Mauvaises Herbes & liked the funkier vibe & food better.
Excellent vegan meal, think the best we have ever had! Wonderful flavours & textures & variety to choose from. The difference n dessert was scrumptious! Excellent service & ambience too - thank you!
Concised menu ranging from Dan Dan noodles, crater salad, impossible burger, gnocchi, to steak! Love the friendly & professional staff, too. Stopped by two nights in a row because it's the best if not the only vegan options on Sunday/ Monday night. Make sure you save room for dessert.
