Très déçu de notre expérience. Nous sommes arrivés au restaurant vers 11h pour y prendre un déjeuner. Apres avoir remarqué que plusieurs clients arrivés après nous recevaient leur commande, nous avons demandé à notre serveuse ce qu'il se passait avec nos plats. Elle nous a dit qu'elle allait vérifier, d'où j'étais assis j'ai remarqué qu'elle n'a jamais été voir à la cuisine mais semblait plutôt mettre une commande à l'ordinateur... Suite à ça elle est venue nous dire que les cuisiniers avaient perdu le bon de commande.. ce que j'ai trouvé peux possible.. elle semblais vouloir mettre la faute sur les cuisiners... après encore un bon moment à attendre une seconde serveuse est venu nous porter nos assiettes pour me rendre compte que le plat que ce n'était pas ce que j'avais demandé... bref je pense que la serveuse nous a mentie sur la raison du délai & que lorsqu'elle a vraiment placé la commande, elle c'est trompé. La serveuse n'avait aucune empathie face à cette situation.. pour ne pas dire qu'elle s'en foutait...Bref nous avons quitté le restaurant sans avoir mangé. Le restaurant n'etait pas à pleine capacité. Pour cette raison je ne recommandes pas ce restaurant.
Le Don a été une véritable révélation pour nous. C'était notre toute première expérience dans un restaurant vegan, & nous avons trouvé cela absolument exceptionnel.
Les plats étaient savoureux, créatifs & parfaitement équilibrés. À tel point que c'est, selon nous, le meilleur restaurant de tout notre périple au Canada !
Le personnel est extrêmement agréable, attentionné & à l'écoute, ce qui rend l'expérience encore plus mémorable. Franchement, rien à redire : tout était parfait.
Un resto 100% vegan à ne pas manquer. Nourriture excellente, plein de saveurs différentes, y compris des plats locaux. Terrasse très agréable, serveurs super. Mon amie non vegan a aussi adoré l'expérience. Mention spéciale pour le cheesecake qui était incroyable. Je recommande +++
I won't be returning to this establishment, not necessarily because of the food, but rather because of the appalling service, which frankly deserved a zero-star rating.
We were initially greeted by a waitress who was unfriendly & dismissive, who served us our drinks. Our plates were then brought out by a different staff member, seemingly from the back of the house. From that point on, we were completely left to our own devices. No one ever returned to check on our table or refill our water glasses, reflecting a concerning lack of basic hospitality during a hot summer day.
As for the food, it was okay. The sausage was hot, but the scrambled tofu & potatoes were lukewarm at best. Furthermore, they lacked salt, & there was none on our table. If someone had checked on us, I could have asked for some. Though there may have been more inside, I noticed when leaving the restaurant that the terrace section in which we sat seemed to share only a single salt shaker & pepper mill set, which was kept at the outdoor reception desk.
Additionally, the standard of hygiene in the single restroom facility was inadequate. The wall-mounted soap dispenser was depleted, leaving only a barely visible backup bottle on a shelf. Management should prioritize regular maintenance & restocking to meet basic standards.
Our waitress only reappeared at the very end to clear the plates & bring us the bill, which turned out to be particularly steep for brunch. It felt in every way like a classic tourist trap in Old Quebec where basic hospitality & guest experience are clearly not a priority. Ultimately, the unwelcoming attitude & complete lack of attentiveness from our waitress are the deciding factors in why I will not be returning & why I do not recommend this restaurant.

Je ne retournerai pas dans cet établissement, pas forcément à cause de la nourriture, mais plutôt à cause du service déplorable qui, franchement, mérite zéro étoile.
Nous avons d'abord été accueillis par une serveuse peu amicale & dédaigneuse, qui nous a servi nos boissons. Par la suite, nos assiettes nous ont été apportées par un autre membre du personnel, qui semblait sortir de l'arrière-cuisine. À partir de ce moment-là, nous avons été complètement laissés à nous-mêmes. Personne n'est revenu s'assurer que nous ne manquions de rien à notre table ni pour remplir nos verres d'eau, témoignant d'un manque d'hospitalité préoccupant lors d'une chaude journée d'été.
Côté nourriture, c'était correct. La saucisse était d'ailleurs bien chaude, mais le tofu brouillé & les pommes de terre étaient tout au plus tièdes. De plus, ils manquaient de sel, & il n'y en avait pas sur notre table. Si quelqu'un était venu nous voir, j'aurais pu en demander. Bien qu'il y en ait peut-être eu davantage à l'intérieur, j'ai remarqué en quittant le restaurant que la section terrasse où nous étions assis ne semblait disposer que d'un seul ensemble salière & poivrière, qui se trouvait à la réception extérieure.
De plus, le niveau d'hygiène de la seule salle de toilette laissait grandement à désirer. Le distributeur de savon mural était complètement vide, laissant pour seule alternative une bouteille de secours à peine visible sur une étagère. La direction devrait prioriser un entretien régulier & le réapprovisionnement des installations pour respecter les normes de base.
Notre serveuse n'est apparue qu'à la toute fin pour débarrasser & nous apportez l'addition, qui s'est révélée particulièrement salée. Cela ressemblait en tout point à un piège à touristes typique du Vieux-Québec, où l'hospitalité & le bien-être des clients ne sont visiblement pas la priorité. En fin de compte, l'attitude désinvolte & le manque total d'attention de notre serveuse sont les raisons qui me dissuadent d'y retourner & pourquoi je ne recommande pas ce restaurant.
Wow - amazing service & spectacular food. The filet mignon was outstanding; the peppercorn sauce alone is worth going back for. We loved it so much we returned the next day for lunch & tried the Wac Burger (their vegan take on a Big Mac) & the risotto special - both excellent.
Every staff member we dealt with was friendly & welcoming. Highly recommend, & we'll definitely be back.
My wife & I had the pleasure of dining at Le Don during our visit to Québec City the first week of April. The restaurant was recommended to us by the staff of Atypiq Hotel & we were not disappointed. The restaurant is located in the port district, adjacent to an extensive area of historical buildings containing art galleries, Michelin starred restaurants, & assorted shops. The ambience is hip & trendy, well suited for couples & small groups. The menu features a wide variety of starters, mains & desserts, along with a nice mix of cocktails & mocktails. We tried the Panko Cauliflower & the Artichoke Dip with chips. Both were delicious, though we felt the Artichoke Dip would have been better heated. My wife had the Pasta Bolognese for her main course, while I had the Mushroom Fettuccine. Quite tasty & the portion sizes were generous (so much so we had to skip dessert). There was only one server on duty that night but he was terrific & we didn't have to wait long for anything. Also, shout out to the friendly kitchen staff who responded personally to our praise for their efforts.
I was pleasantly surprised to find an all-vegan restaurant in Quebec City on a recent work trip here! I had dinner here & ordered the mushroom risotto. It was incredible - so much good flavour! I enjoyed the outdoor seating on the sidewalk patio. The restaurant is in a cute area of Old Quebec that is a bit quieter. The service was great & they spoke English. Would highly recommend for anyone who is vegan! 🌱
