Actually, it was a hilarious experience.
I'd been arguing with my friends all morning, by that point, we were all cranky, hungry, & exhausted. This was the first café we came across, so we decided to stop & wake up the'beast.'
The aesthetic was undeniably gorgeous & colorful. We waited in line for about 40 minutes, which felt reasonable since everyone else was waiting too. Now for the juicy part: right in front of us was a lady taking customers' orders. God bless her - she spent 15 minutes counting the till & coins, carefully sorting & writing everything down in her notes. I was honestly surprised. My friends were going a little nuts & asked if she was doing it on purpose. I knew she wasn't. She just looked completely drained, but I understood where my friends were coming from. The lady explained she had been working since 9 a.m. with no break.
Eventually, we gave up. None of us ended up getting a drink or treat. Such a shame, because we were the first runners 🏃?♀? in line after waiting for 40 minutes. So, unfortunately, I can't give you an opinion on the food or drinks.
I did love the merch they had, though. I really wanted to grab a few items! 😮?💨
I walked in here by chance, the decoration is very fun but also quite extravagant, I wasn't sure what to expect.
The café itself has very little space to sit: there's a narrow bench along one window & a small counter with four stools facing the other window (though realistically, it fits about three people comfortably). Since there was only one person working at the time, service took a little longer than usual, & our drinks were served in disposable cups.
To my surprise, it turned out to be one of the best cappuccinos I've had in Québec, absolutely delicious. The espresso was also excellent. The spinach & feta scone was solid, & the pistachio roll/muffin was a real treat.
Inside the cafe, it's a bit hard to tell what day or time it is, the place has a kind of surreal, timeless atmosphere. They also sell various souvenir-like items & specialty products.
Definitely worth stopping by.
Super cozy inside! There's not a lot of seating but it's the perfect spot for a tasty pastry & warm drink on a cold day. We tried the butter croissant & apricot danish & were very impressed. Highly recommend this cute little cafe!!
Nice small cafe place but gets busy easy since the location is where there is a lot of foot traffic I like the choco cafe with marshmellow price is a bit on the high
This place was recommended on TikTok. & it certainly lived up to the hype. The cafe itself is very small, has a delectable range of pastries & drinks. They've got some unique gifts & souvenirs too. Would definitely recommend.
I absolutely loved this place. A friend recommended it as a must visit when I'm in QC & the cafe more than delivered. Super cute on the outside & inside. The people at the counter were so warm. & the mocha is unbeatable. If I lived here, I'd be here every day.
