Really disappointing dinner experience at such a luxury hotel. We were guests for one night in the Chateau & decided to have a late dinner to celebrate the start my husband's birthday weekend. The restaurant seemed short staffed, & while our server was polite, they were preoccupied with other tables & paid us little attention since we didn't order any drinks. The decor is also very beautiful with nice views of the river. However, the food does not match the ambience. We were served bread that was horribly stale & tasted as though it had been frozen before. The ceasar salad ($18) was bland & underdressed. The Chateau burger ($30) was inedible - dry, limp lettuce, & beyond overcooked, as if it had been sitting under the heat lamps for an hour. Our server tried to tell us that it's because beef has to be cooked to a certain temperature in Canada (I think that they thought that we were foreigners even though we're from Toronto), which simply isn't the case. They did take it off the bill, but we left hungry & disappointed with our experience.

. J'ai réservé pour l'anniversaire de mon conjoint une table dns le verrière pour 20 h car c'est l'heure proposée pour le nombre de personnes que nous étions. Parfait. On s'y présente & on nous fait patienter 10 minutes car les clients doivent terminer de payer.20 minutes plus tard on nous propose le foyer pour attendre ok on y vas.on y patiente encore 20 minutes. Je ne comprends pas trop l'attente mais bon. Donc vers 21 h la jeune fille en charge viendra nous chercher pour nous diriger à notre table qui au surprise sont des tables bistrot au fond du restaurant. Je lui dis qu'il y a une erreur.Ma réservation est dans la verrière & celle ci a été confirmée plutôt dans la journée car on séjourne au château.bref j'épargne les détails finalement on nous place à la verrière. On commence à manger il est 22h 10. Je suis déçue ça me dérange pas de payer lorsque tout roule mais là ce n'était pas le cas. Service très moyen ça manque de fini oui c'est un bistro mais nous somme au château. La veille nous y sommes allés au bar par contre & wow au barman & barmaid professionnel & sympathique l'équipe qui y était 23 févrie

Last Sunday my wife & I were at the Chateau for one night (room # 1516) & we were looking forward to having dinner at Sam's restaurant by the window overlooking St. Lawrence river but we were told that the best that they could offer was a non window table for 2, earliest 8 45pm & would call us in the unlikely event of a cancellation for an earlier seating. As there was no call, we disappointedly showed up at 8:45pm & the hostess at that time Elyse, even without having mentioned of our initial request took the trouble of finding us a table by a window & the dinner (specially the seafood casserole) was scrumptious which made our evening so perfectly romantic. So we thought it was worthy of mention as it is the hallmark of customer care. Thank you so much Elyse

Super expérience au Sam Bistro, au Fairmont Le Château Frontenac. Un restaurant moderne & feutré. J'ai pris en entrée la soupe à l'oignon gratiné, bonne portion donc faire attention si vous avez pas une grosse appétit! Pour le principal une bavette de boeuf, petit morceau & bonne portion de salade, juste parfait pour avoir de la place pour le dessert! & pour terminer avec le dessert, un gâteau au fromage, juste wow! Merci à notre serveur pour le bon service.

Le meilleur restaurant que nous ayons pu faire lors de notre séjour au Canada. Sans parler de la beauté du château de Frontenac, magnifiquement décoré pour Noël.. la nourriture était délicieuse & le service impeccable, aux petits soins. Tout était parfait de l'entrée au dessert, nous avons vraiment regretté de ne pas avoir passé une nuit au château. Option pour les végétariens disponible. Je vous le recommande vivement.

Prenez la peine de réserver une table près des fenêtres, la vue est incroyable. Beau rapport qualité/prix pour un repas dans le château.

Très bel endroit à découvrir à l'intérieur du Château Frontenac! Magnifique vue sur le fleuve à par de la verrière. Excellents plats avec un service aux tables irréprochable.

Although ask the restaurants are wonderful, this is probably the best IMHO in Chateau Frontenac. It has a spectacular view of the St Lawrence River, & the food is delicious, yet it won't break your wallet.

We started our self guide walking tour of Quebec city in Château Frontenac & had our lunch at Bistro Le Sam! We made a reservation couple of hours ahead & they greeted us warmly with our table with a view! This place is beautiful with great atmosphere. Staff were super friendly & dedicated. Everything we ordered was great! Three of us are vegetarian & we had great options! I ordered onion soup (big portion, totally shareable) & Feuilleté Chèvre & they tasted awesome!
