Le SAM Bistro Évolutif propose une expérience gastronomique élégante et mémorable au cœur du majestueux Fairmont Le Château Frontenac. Overpriced & underdelivered. With so many food choices in Quebec city it is amazing this place is even open. We are actually staying at the Frontenac hotel & ate at the restaurant based on the recommendation of the concierge. It is really not a good choice in this city.
Assez déçue, je pense que ce resto a changé de chef cuisinier. Nous y sommes allés à quelques reprises & l'expérience avait été satisfaisante. Aujourd'hui, pour l'assiette de Fish & Chips, les frites semblaient avoir été réchauffées. Tièdes, pas croustillantes & pas très bonnes finalement . La panure du poisson était très épaisse, & encore une fois, la pièce semblait réchauffée. Les arancini de l'apéro aussi ont peut être fait 2 bains d'huile… dans l'ensemble, pas un très bon rapport qualité prix & décevant d'un grand hôtel Fairmont. Le temps entre les entrées & le plat principal, extrêmement lent.
While there are fine servers at this hotel, the last two times the service was subpar. Rushed, seemingly uncaring. Forgot items & barley an appoligy. Totally checked out attitude. Food was very good & up to usual standards. Recommend better hiring practice & training.

Le Sam Bistro, located within the magnificent Fairmont Le Château Frontenac, provided us with an exceptional dining experience that perfectly complemented our luxurious stay. As hotel guests, we were looking forward to enjoying a meal in-house, & Le Sam certainly didn't disappoint.
The ambiance of the bistro was both elegant & relaxed, with stylish interiors & large windows that created a warm, inviting atmosphere. From our table, we were able to enjoy a breathtaking view of the St. Lawrence River, which added an unforgettable backdrop to our dining experience & made our meal feel even more special.
We started with the fried calamari, which was crispy on the outside & tender inside-expertly seasoned & served with a flavourful dipping sauce. For small bites, we also shared the baby back ribs glazed with bbq & whisky sauce. The standout dish for us was the fish & chips, served with a creative twist: we added foie gras to elevate the dish. The result was indulgent & memorable-the richness of the foie gras paired beautifully with the crispy, flaky fish.
Service was attentive, making the entire meal enjoyable. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed this wonderful lunch. Dining at Le Sam Bistro was a highlight of our time at the Château Frontenac, & we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quality meal paired with exceptional views in the heart of Quebec City.
The food was pretty good but not outstanding. But the gorgeous views perhaps make up for it. Worth trying if you don't feel like leaving the hotel premises &/or have a hotel credit you're needing to use.
Bel endroit abordable où déguster un bon repas sans devoir quitter l'hôtel. Le décor est magnifique, les serveurs très professionnels & sympathiques. Belle carte de cocktails, le menu pour enfant est très intéressant, enfin autre chose que des burgers & croquettes. Très accueillants pour les enfants. On s'est régalées sans se ruiner!
Important to have a reservation beforehand. The service is impeccable, the interior is stunning & the views from the hotel are beautiful. For the given price point, the quality of the food was acceptable. I recommend the roasted cod & the Québec cheese board. The beef flank steak was salty & a little tough.
Made reservations & used their valet service. The Chateau Frontenac is a gorgeous hotel in Old Quebec. The lamb was so tender it melted in my mouth. Best ever! My friend was extremely pleased with her meal as well. We went back another day & had a cocktail. My favourite Expresso Martini

Det var smart a booke bord da bistroen var full - & godt tegn👍👍👍 Jeg bestilte - Fransk loksuppe til forrett - Flankestek til hovedrett - Cafe Gourmand til dessert Siden jeg matte kjore tilbake til hotellet ble det ingen vin - bare kullsyrevann til maltidet 😩😩😩 Maten smakte MEGET GODT 😋 😋 😋 og var fint presentert (se bilder) Kelnerne var blide og hyggelig, men timingen var ikke den beste; - suppen var halvveis oppspist nar brodet ble servert - Tilbehoret til kaffen ble servert forst nar kaffen var blitt lunken. - Regningen kom fort, men a ta imot betaling tok sin tid 🤔🤔🤔 Stemning; Det ankom flere barnefamilier med barn som lop rundt i lokalet. Musikk ble spilt over hoytalere I tillegg er det (minst) 2 TVer som viser amerikanske sport & reklame. Dersom en onsker a nyte maten i rolige omgivelser er dette definitivt IKKE riktig sted 😩😩😩 Verdi for pengene; Mat; Definitivt 😋😋😋 Service; Kanskje 🤔🤔🤔 Stemning; Nei 😩😩😩
