We had a nice dining experience at Bistro Le Sam. Recommend booking ahead & requesting the alcove seating...the high top seats did not look comfortable. I had the smoked meat which is actually a sliced brisket sandwich. I had that & the French onion soup, both were tasty but very salty. My wife had the flank steak & said it was pretty tough, & salty as well. It's a bit pricey being in the Chateau Frontenac but overall worthy of the 4 stars

Le SAM offers a stunning setting & excellent food, with dishes that arrived quickly & were delicious. Items our table ordered: Cod Fish & Chips, Roasted Cod, Goat Cheese & Spinach Puff Pie & Boston Salad with Chicken. However, the service left much to be desired. Cocktails were improperly mixed, bread arrived well after the main meals, & the waitstaff was difficult to get ahold of. It also took over 30 minutes to get the check, leaving us feeling forgotten. Despite the issues, I'd consider trying them again for the food & atmosphere, hoping for an improved service experience.

Important to have a reservation beforehand. The service is impeccable, the interior is stunning & the views from the hotel are beautiful. For the given price point, the quality of the food was acceptable. I recommend the roasted cod & the Québec cheese board. The beef flank steak was salty & a little tough.

Nous y sommes allés pour un petit cocktail en fin de soirée.Nous sommes tombés en amour avec la qualité de ce qu'on nous a servi ainsi que le service attentionné que nous avons reçu. Nous irons prochainement, non pas juste pour un drink, mais un repas complet!

Not GF friendly. Reservation & table we got didn't match. Food ok not great. Very very expensive for what you get especially wine which is 20+ for glass. Beautiful place especially at Christmas.

The Québec cheese board was well-presented & fancy but not worth the price since the olives, fruits, & the nuts weren't anything special. The roasted cod was delicious & well-presented but the portions were smaller than expected. Overall, while the food is delicious, it was a bit overpriced.
