Just few in that afternoon--got to the bar as they opened. Nice young men working--great conversation. They recommended the French Onion soup. Oh yeah. Best I have EVER had. Great place. A nice change from what we have in the USA. I would travel back just for the soup & salad alone!!!

We did booked a table for after lunch tea, coffee, & dessert. They sat us with a good table with a view to the river. The hostess & our server were both friendly, professional, & attentive.
We cannot judge about the main dishes. May be next time when we try them & update the review more accurately.

On a bien été servis par le serveur malheureusement une serveuse est venue nous dire qu'on doit laisser notre place à d'autres personnes puisqu'on a dejà terminé le dessert... l'expérience a bien débuté mais s'est très mal finie... une déception.

Outstanding restaurant. The food was gourmet quality & the service impeccable. The setting is elegant & tasteful & the view os the St. Lawrence River was peaceful & satisfying.

Nous avons essayé le menu du Festival Table Gourmande. C'était sublime. Le mixte des saveurs avec la betterave fumée en entrée était divin. Les parfums du plat principal étaient juste parfait. & que dire de la crème brûlée, une des meilleurs que nous avons mangé.
Le service était impeccable. On nous a même changé de place pour plus d'intimité. Quel bel attention ! Je recommande fortement. En plus, il y a la vue, l'ambiance du château.

Bistro Le Sam is located on the lobby level of the Chateau Frontenac. It offers beautiful views of the river & a decent selection of food & drink. The prices are high but that's kind of a given considering its location. We were staying at the hotel so we visited a few times & had great service each time. The bar makes delicious margaritas.

Je suis mitigé. D'un côté le restaurant est très beau avec une vue incroyable sur le fleuve & une atmosphère suave & feutrée nous donnant envie de rester sur place des heures. Le service était incroyable. Notre serveur était si attentionné & bienveillant. La nourriture était incroyablement savoureuse & les portions bien généreuses. Les deux seuls éléments qui on fait basculer mon opinion est la cuisson du filet mignon. Premiere assiette, Viande tiède presque froide mais cuisson parfaite. Deuxième assiette, viande tiède & trop cuite. A presque 80$ l'assiette la moindre des choses c'est de l'avoir à la bonne cuisson & à la bonne température. Bref, tout le reste était exquis. Bravo

We had a wonderful meal at the Bistro le SAM, excellent service & spectacular view. We watched the ships go by at a cozy table enjoying delicious food.
