Very disappointing experience. This is not an accurate representation of Afghan cuisine, & I honestly wish they would stop using Afghan food names for dishes that don't resemble the real thing.
The food was extremely disappointing-the taste was terrible, & the smell was unpleasant. As someone familiar with Afghan food, I found this especially frustrating. Afghan cuisine deserves much better representation than this.
I would not recommend this place, especially if you're looking for authentic Afghan food.
If you're looking to enjoy authentic Afghan cuisine in Montreal, Les Délices d'Ariana is a perfect choice. As soon as you step inside, you'll notice the calm, clean, & cozy atmosphere-ideal for spending quality time with friends or family.
When it comes to food, their Kabuli Pulao, grilled kebabs, & other traditional Afghan dishes are truly outstanding. Every dish is made with fresh ingredients & gives a comforting, homemade taste. The meats, in particular, are very tender, juicy, & perfectly cooked.
The service is also excellent-staff are friendly, helpful, & happy to suggest dishes if it's your first time. The prices are quite reasonable considering the quality of the food, making it great value for money.
Overall, Les Délices d'Ariana is a place where you don't just eat-you enjoy a complete & satisfying food experience. If you love Afghan cuisine, it's definitely worth trying. ⭐?⭐?⭐?⭐?⭐?
Visiting from Vermont (U.S.) & had the best dining experience here! Some of our favorite food during our 3-day vacation to Quebec City. We ordered lamb skewers, naan, & the butter lamb, & everything was incredible. The flavors felt familiar, similar to Indian food, but it's definitely its own thing & very unique. Especially the butter lamb, which was sweet & unlike anything I've ever had before. So good!
Ahmed was a kind, warm, & welcoming server who truly made the experience that much better, taking time to explain dishes & making us feel right at home. The atmosphere was cozy & inviting, perfect for a cold, winter evening. It was a pretty close walk from the art museum, which made it an easy stop while exploring the city.
Only thing to note is the steep stairs going up to the restaurant but once you're inside, it's absolutely worth it. Highly recommend!
I usually enjoy Afghan food & was excited to try this restaurant, but unfortunately my experience was disappointing. The service was very slow, & the food arrived cold. Some dishes also lacked the authentic flavor I expected. I hope the management can improve these areas because the restaurant has a lot of potential.
I had an amazing dining experience at Ariana! The Kabuli & other dishes were absolutely delicious. Each bite was a burst of authentic Afghan flavors that left me wanting more. The service by Arash was great-attentive, friendly, & knowledgeable about the menu. Highly recommend dining here for both the food & the excellent service!
