Very disappointing experience. This is not an accurate representation of Afghan cuisine, & I honestly wish they would stop using Afghan food names for dishes that don't resemble the real thing.
The food was extremely disappointing-the taste was terrible, & the smell was unpleasant. As someone familiar with Afghan food, I found this especially frustrating. Afghan cuisine deserves much better representation than this.
I would not recommend this place, especially if you're looking for authentic Afghan food.
Very tasty Dansak lamb, fantastic lamb, great & quick service. Would recommend!
Visiting from Vermont (U.S.) & had the best dining experience here! Some of our favorite food during our 3-day vacation to Quebec City. We ordered lamb skewers, naan, & the butter lamb, & everything was incredible. The flavors felt familiar, similar to Indian food, but it's definitely its own thing & very unique. Especially the butter lamb, which was sweet & unlike anything I've ever had before. So good!
Ahmed was a kind, warm, & welcoming server who truly made the experience that much better, taking time to explain dishes & making us feel right at home. The atmosphere was cozy & inviting, perfect for a cold, winter evening. It was a pretty close walk from the art museum, which made it an easy stop while exploring the city.
Only thing to note is the steep stairs going up to the restaurant but once you're inside, it's absolutely worth it. Highly recommend!
We came all the way from Toronto to Quebec expecting a good food experience, but it was a complete disappointment. The person serving us smelled strongly of smoke, had something in his mouth while serving, & it felt very unprofessional & unhygienic.
The food itself was disgusting-to be honest, I didn't even know what I was eating. The taste & quality were far below acceptable, especially for a place that serves the public.
After traveling so far, this was the last thing we expected. Very poor hygiene, bad service, & terrible food. We will not be returning & do not recommend this place.
I had an amazing dining experience at Ariana! The Kabuli & other dishes were absolutely delicious. Each bite was a burst of authentic Afghan flavors that left me wanting more. The service by Arash was great-attentive, friendly, & knowledgeable about the menu. Highly recommend dining here for both the food & the excellent service!
We ordered the Ariana tables d'hote, & everything was divine. The guy who served us was accommodating & friendly. Ambiance was beautiful. I definitely recommend this place.
