Restaurant Parmesan was founded by true Italians over 48 years ago. Over the years, Luigi (known to all) has passed on his passion for food and Italian customs such as La Dolce Vita, hot chestnuts in autumn, our traditional balsamic vinegar, our famous homemade prosciutto and many other well-kept secrets. Over the years, Luigi has amassed over 4,000 bottles that are displayed throughout this museum that is Parmesan.

Tried the restaurant for dinner time & it was amazing!!! There was live music, great food & perfect service. If you'd like to eat Italian then this should be one of the stops to try.

Over-the-top kitschy Italian vibe & it works. Parmesan squeezes more tables into this footprint than I've ever seen in a restaurant, too. It's lively & the staff is hustling. We didn't have reservations, but were able to get a table after waiting a minute or two. Because it's so packed the kitchen is slow. Waitress arrived in seconds (everyone spoke French & English) to take our drink orders & they arrived with a basket of bread. 10 minutes later, our order was placed & our salad arrived a few minutes later. Then we waited. About 30 minutes after we were seated, a couple next to us arrived & ordered. Their food came out 15 minutes later while we were still waiting -- for two pasta & sauce plates. We politely called over a waiter & he apologized for the delay saying they were busy & the kitchen was backed up, despite the neighboring table enjoying their meal. He said he would check on the order & came back 5 minutes later, again apologizing & saying they didn't forget us. We think the order didn't get placed. A few minutes later, the food was delivered & it was delicious. Only reason for the four stars was the 50 minute wait for our meals. Enjoyable night at Parmesan despite the wait.

I went here very recently with my family & it was probably the most standout dining experience we had while visiting Quebec!! Everyone was so lively & friendly, & the food was wonderful - the spaghetti bolognese was genuinely maybe the best spaghetti I have had ??? I will have dreams about it. It was someone's birthday & the whole restaurant got together at moments to sing happy birthday (happy birthday gina!!). Please please PLEASE come here if you're in the area & want italian.

first time eating in old Quebec during tourist season my only complaint for service was they were a little to quick still hadn't finished my entree & my main course arrived , pasta was overcooked but then Quebecois like it like that ,place kind of loss the charm of former owner not enough Italian to touristy
