Restaurant Parmesan was founded by true Italians over 48 years ago. Over the years, Luigi (known to all) has passed on his passion for food and Italian customs such as La Dolce Vita, hot chestnuts in autumn, our traditional balsamic vinegar, our famous homemade prosciutto and many other well-kept secrets. Over the years, Luigi has amassed over 4,000 bottles that are displayed throughout this museum that is Parmesan.

This restaurant was once popular & very good, but our recent experience was mediocre at best-& certainly not worth the price. The food now feels comparable to a chain like East Side Mario's, both in taste & presentation. Service was underwhelming: red wine was served cold, & the beer was poured flat. The dishes lacked flavor & refinement, which was especially disappointing given the price point & the restaurant's former reputation. On top of that, we felt as though they were trying to rush us out. That said, the portion sizes were generous.

My wife & I visited Parmesan a while back when we were here for the winter carnival. We recently came back to Quebec & wanted to visit again for our anniversary. The service & food were both fantastic, & the entire staff went above & beyond to make our special occasion perfect. They surprised us with delicious cake & a photo to take back home. It was a great experience & we'll be sure to have many more great meals here.

We stopped by for a late lunch on a whim, & this turned out to be one of the best meals of the week. Can't get in at Bello? Come here instead!

We had reservations but arrived 30 minutes early & they accommodated us. Service was great throughout dinner. The French onion soup was very good & the chicken parm was just okay, a little overcooked & dry. A little pricey in our opinion but pretty standard for Old Quebec City.

My son & friend wanted to try this restaurant on our vacation. My friend & I had the chicken Parmesan. My son had the muscles & fries. Everything was delicious. The waiter & waitress was wonderful & hospitable. We felt very welcome. They even had a musician playing the accordion & it was the middle of the week. I will always remember this place. It was charming & beautiful.

Notre restaurant favori à ma conjointe & moi, les assiettes sont délicieuses, l'ambiance est chaleureuse avec un gentil musicien qui joue de l'accordéon. Nous avons déjà hâte de revenir!

Not very authentic. Pasta was bland & veal Parmesan was tough. My eggplant was very bitter. Not worth it for us. Staff was very nice & polite.
