Gravy was good, cheese was good, fries were a bit bland... Overall experience was just average. I've had quite better poutine, but it does the job! The atmosphere gives canteen, though - a bit loud.
We came here in April 2025 when my son was wanting a poutine.
Initially, I didn't think the menu would be much but I was so surprised to see such an extensive menu. We ended up ordering a big poutine & some drinks.
The flavour, fries, cheese, everything was better than expected.
Definitely try out Poutineville next time you're in Quebec City.

I had the Chinese style poutine with vegan cheese (due to an allergy), & even though it arrived very quickly, it wasn't hot enough, & the fried balls & French fries were not crispy at all. I also think it was a bit too sweet with a lack of balance, but that's just my personal taste. The waitress was very nice, & honestly she's the main reason I gave this place a higher score than the food itself deserves. They have a good selection of beer, but unfortunately it isn't clear in the menu that the happy hour beer is of a specific type, & not all of the beers available. It would have been nice if the waitress would have brought it to my attention, since I arrived during happy hour, & I was under the impression that I was paying less than I actually had to pay at the end.
Overall, I would say if you consider it a restaurant - I wouldn't recommend it.
If you consider it a bar - it's fine.
Go for: Poutine. They have a full & surprisingly extensive menu, but you know why you're here. Avoid if: You are on a diet that doesn't involve heavy doses of cheese & frites. Something surprising: All but one of their multiple locations is in Quebec, so despite the chain feel of the place, you're getting the real deal. Reservation needed? No, the place is huge & has tons of tables. Overall Experience: 3/5. You get what you signed up for: a guilty pleasure. They have so many variants of poutine that you won't find anywhere else. It's endearing in a strange way. Great location near the Old City. Value for Price: 4 Sanitation: 3 Food Quality: 3 Menu Precision: 3 Service Quality: 4 Timing: 4 Decor: 3 Access: 4 - 5 among the best 4 strong 3 not too bad 2 mediocre 1 never again
I went here the other day with my girlfriend & I had the classic poutine arguably the best if not one of the best poutines I've ever had. The gravy was delicious, the fries were fresh & crispy & the cheese curds were huge, squeaky & fresh as well as there being tons of them to the last bite. I definitely recommend this place.
Fair prices, & good portions. I ordered a large poutine & barely 25% in, there was no more room to'poutine' anymore! Visited twice, & service was 5 star the first night & 1 star the second. Burgers, onions rings & fried cheese curls were all very good.
When you Google's poutine in Quebec City, chances are you will see this place. It is a very casual place like any hamburger place in the US. The waitress is nice enough to tell you not to order the full poutine dish if you just want to try what poutine is. So, we ordered a hamburger with poutine as a side order. Most of their customers are tourists who are curious about poutine. It is basically French fries with cheese & different sauces.
