Poutineville is widely recognized as a top destination in Quebec City for those seeking a diverse and authentic poutine experience. The restaurant offers a vast menu with extensive customization options, including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free choices that cater to many dietary needs. Most visitors find the portion sizes to be very generous, often suggesting that sharing a junior or regular size is a great way to enjoy the meal. While the environment and service can vary depending on how busy the restaurant is, many guests frequently praise the staff for being friendly, attentive, and helpful with menu recommendations. Whether visitors are trying poutine for the first time or are seasoned enthusiasts, the flavorful gravy, fresh fries, and quality ingredients make this a highly recommended stop for anyone exploring the area.
If you are looking for top-tier poutine, this is hands down the best spot in town.
What really sets them apart is their incredible variety, especially when it comes to vegetarian options-it's so refreshing to have real choices instead of just one token veg dish!
The gravy is rich, flavorful, & hits all the right comfort-food notes.
There was a small wait time when we arrived, but service moved quickly & efficiently, & the food made every single minute completely worth it.
Delicious quality, generous portions, & great vibes.
Will definitely be back soon! 🍟🧀🔥
We found Poutineville through Google, & it definitely lived up to the reviews. Every poutine we tried was delicious, with generous portions & great flavour. We also ordered the chicken wings & drinks, & everything was really good. The service was friendly & quick, & the staff made us feel welcome throughout our visit. The only small downside is that parking can be a bit tricky, especially during busy hours. Other than that, we had a great experience & would definitely come back. If you are looking for a good place to enjoy poutine, this is definitely worth a visit.
We ordered the junior french poutine & omg the size & the taste! This is the best poutine I have tasted so far, despite the extra fried fries. The junior poutine is also quite filling for one person. We also had the Dulce de lèche cheesecake. We liked it too. The service was quick & the staff were very polite. We didn't have to wait for a place.
We went again after two weeks, & this time the experience was not so great, the platter of starters was just too oily. The Mexican poutine was nice. I'm done with exploring poutines.

I was on a group trip here in Quebec, & one day me & a group of friends decided to come here for lunch, it wasn't busy at all, however many from our group came here which is why it was packed. I understand this location is understaffed, however it is no reason to give terrible service & lie to us. We waited 30 minutes to have our order taken, & as a group we needed to be at a place by 1:10pm (we arrived at about 12pm). We were getting iffy about whether or not we would be getting our food on time, & other people from our group tried to leave, to get food somewhere else, & quicker. However our server PROMISED we would get our food on time & we could eat. We order after awhile getting more nervous by the minute however our server reassured us we would have time to eat, & it came to 1pm. We still did not receive our food & it was about a 7 minutes walk to the place we needed to go to, my group & I were panicking, & when we finally received our money, we needed to quickly pay with cash & run to the spot we needed to be at. We were very late & I am very disappointed. I had gotten a poutine & no fork to go, it was raining & I had no time to eat, & the water got in my to go container so I threw it out. My food was 33$ in total which went to the trash & I went my day with lunch, & to mention, my friend didn't even get what she ordered, but it was too late when we realized. With the service I had gotten at this location, I will remember to never come back, as I don't even think I should've payed for this.
We got a nice quiet table in the back, no line & fairly empty for 6:30 on a Saturday which was nice. There are an overwhelming number of menu options, but we got the phili cheese poutine & chicken fingers with salad. I was very happy with the chicken fingers & salad, it had cheese & lots of diced tomatoes, with onions, red pepper & regular lettuce not the cheap iceberg kind. The chicken fingers were crispy with lots of batter, just perfect to go with the salad. They came with BBQ sauce, the good dark kind, not the runny pale stuff. The poutine was okay, lots of onions but not as much meat. The diet coke was small & kind of flat. The service was great, & the food came out quick. I heard it gets much busier later at night though. I would go back for sure.
Cozy place with a good selection of not just poutine but food in general. Prices are decent for what you get. Staff was very friendly, our waitress was super nice & quick to get us seated & checked in on us now & then to see if we wanted anything else.
Overall disappointing. The food was quite tasty, but it was loud inside, & the service was slow. I did notice some good servers, but mine wasn't one of them. It took too long to take my order, but the food arrived quickly (maybe a bad sign, not sure), & it took way too long to pay through bill & get out of there. It was too noisy & untidy for my liking & I am generally not that fussy about those things if everything else is good.
This has been by far the best experience of the places where we have eaten. The food was tasty, plentiful & priced appropriately. Our server was both attentive & quick. Both my wife & I highly recommend this restaurant.
