The food & service were both excellent. The staff were very attentive & the food was delicious. They made me a special vegetarian option as there were no veggie options on that days option for the main. The staff gave me a little candle in my dessert to celebrate my birthday.

The only dampener was that my boyfriend had booked a stay at the auberge for us after our meal for my birthday. Two days before our meal, they cancelled our booking at the auberge, citing that they had double booked this day. Having the booking cancelled so last minute meant we were unable to find alternative accommodation for my birthday, which put a bit of a dampener on celebrations. It seemed a little unprofessional to cancel a booking made in advance two days before. They offered to see if another day worked for us but sadly we couldn't really make this work.

When we arrived at the restaurant for our booked meal, there was no seating inside. We ended up being set up outside whilst we waited for a table to become free - it was a little chilly but they got us a blanket & a table became free halfway through our first course. If you're likely to get cold do try & ask to be seated inside when booking :)
