A 35 year old gem still under the original owner was a lucky find for us while exploring Old Quebec. The Asia Restaurant is located in a lovely common square with a large fountain. My family's experience was overall great as the service was very friendly & attentive. If you want authentic tasting Vietnamese & Thai food, this place is a must try. For those hot days, I recommend trying their strawberry flavoured lemonade which is made with strawberries from Île d'Orléans.
I had a fantastic experience, thanks to our wonderful host. The vegetarian satay peanut jasmine rice & tofu were outstanding, & the spring rolls were a nice touch. My husband's beef wonton soup didn't quite hit the mark, but the homemade strawberry lemonade was a highlight.
Ich kann nur abraten dieses Restaurant zu besuchen. Eine Bestellung wurde vergessen, das Essen war maximal lauwarm und geschmacklich eine Katastrophe. Die knusprigen Fleischbällchen wurden eher in Wasser gekocht als im Öl fritiert. Es war ein Reinfall :-((
Wonderful evening spent with delicious food & great service from our host, Ms. Thuong, who generously shared her remarkable story with us. A true neighborhood gem in Old Quebec. If you love Thai & Vietnamese cuisine, you will appreciate a meal at Asia! Highly recommend!
Nous avions réservé hier soir & nos commandes sont arrivées avec des erreurs après avoir insisté pour nos allergies & intolérances, je voyais pourtant la dame inscrire le tout sur son bloc-notes. Le serveur ne parlait qu'en anglais ? C'est pas légal ça & ça m'a vraiment frustré de ne pas respecter la politique de la langue française, surtout dans une ville aussi francophone que Québec ! Mon père n'a jamais eu son café qu'il avait demandé, même après le repas, la dame au début disait que le café serait après le repas, mais elle n'a pas à décider pour lui, il le voulait en commençant. La dame avait oublié sa coupe de vin rouge, on a dû la relancer 20 minutes après, elle nous recommande un vin rouge non sur le menu qui serait encore meilleur, au final il était si sec & mauvais. Quand notre table a été débarrassée, on attend qu'on vienne nous porter la facture .. 10 .. 15 .. 20 minutes. Personne ? On ne revoit plus la dame propriétaire. Un des 2 serveurs nous suggère de rentrer à l'intérieur l'attente, on attend 10 MINUTES encore, & elle nous demande de se tasser car on bloque les toilettes (alors que non), elle nous dit de retourner à notre table attendre alors que des gens sont déjà assis à notre ancienne table. Très mal organisé, on veut juste payer .. elle nous demande nos repas car elle ne savait plus. On lui demande pour le café oublié & au lieu de s'excuser & prendre responsabilité, elle dit qu'ils ne pouvaient pas lui donner. À cause du manque de personnel .. wow. Prenez juste pas autant de clients si vous devez prendre votre cuisinier anglophone pour être serveur là .. ça pas d'allure. Elle nous demande de sortir dehors car sa machine traîne sur une table avec un client random. Tout était tellement bizarre, le service très douteux, on ne s'est jamais senti écouté, & avec raison car on n'a jamais reçu ce qu'on avait commandé comme il faut au final. Nous ne reviendrons pas. Je ne fais jamais de mauvaise review dans la vie mais ça dépasse la logique cette expérience.
Had dinner here our first night in Quebec City after an exhausting drive. This restaurant was across from our hotel (Le Germain) & has a nice patio with a square & fountain so it was very relaxing.
The food was very good & the atmosphere very relaxing. The server, Adeline, was excellent & made the experience all that more enjoyable.
This restaurant has been there for 35 years -- there is a reason it has survived a pandemic & this long.
This is a great eating place! The service was excellent, super friendly & kind, one of the places with the nicest service in Quebec. The food was amazing too, really fresh & tasty. A really good place to go in town.
