The dishes were small but amazing! The host suggested that a table a 2 usually orders 5 dishes to share but our table of 4 only ordered 7. The Panna Cotta was so good that we ordered it twice!
The only dish that didn't blow us away was the sea bass sashimi, but it was still good.
The mussels picture was taken after we had already eaten 2 mussels.
While the dishes were small, they made up for it in flavor. To be full, it would probably go up to $100 CAD a person with drinks.
I wonder if the locals don't like this restaurant since it was empty when we went at 5:30pm & almost everyone that came spoke English. There isn't an English menu, but luckily, the host was very helpful in translating the menu.

Les produits sont d'excellente qualité, la carte des vins est soignée, & la cuisine, souvent raffinée, réserve de belles surprises - bien que l'exécution & la justesse des saveurs puisse être inégale d'un plat à l'autre. En revanche, les prix demandés sont difficilement justifiables au regard des portions, particulièrement (très) modestes. Même dans une formule de type tapas, il serait appréciable qu'il y ait un peu plus de générosité dans les assiettes. D'autres restaurant de la ville offrent des expériences culinaires tout aussi intéressantes, sans nous laisser sur notre faim.
Le menu est superbe quand on te le décrit & quand tu le manges, il est encore mieux. Ça faisait longtemps que mes papilles n'avaient pas été autant sollicitées. Une super belle expérience. Le service est impeccable & de beaux choix pour le vin. Je recommande vivement.
Excellent. Que ce soit le lieu, avec une ambiance tamisée, une belle décoration & un fond musicale très agréable ou la qualité du repas, tout était parfait. Les assiettes étaient délicieuses, le propriétaire a pris le temps de nous expliquer la provenance de tous ses produits, tout était de qualité & raffiné. On a passé un super moment & reviendrons définitivement. Encore merci!
Dans l'ensemble les plats étaient bons mais un peu inegaux au niveau du gout... L'assiete de pétoncles était vraiment bonne mais le dessert un peu incipide.. le service excellent & c'est vraiment un endroit tranquille (Pas trop de bruit si vous voulez jaser sans crier)
We enjoyed a quiet mid-March, mid-week dinner at Ouroboros with congenial & personal service, as well as creative & well-executed dishes that made the most of local food, & excellent wine. Quebec City is such a special place, not least of all for its food & people, & Ouroboros definitely contributed to this positive impression for us. Merci!
