One of the worst AYCE restaurant in my life
Except Salmon ,, the other food was bad.
Only Salmon was good & fresh.
Too much over cooked. Too sweet.
Specially short ribs & beef teriyaki & beef roll is worst. I mean all beef menus are so bad.

Owner has to visit Toronto AYCE restaurant to improve his shop.

Not bad for an all-you-can-eat, but it always depends on what you order.

Sashimis were fresh & tasty, particularly for the salmon, butter fish & mackerel.

The side-sliced beef rib meat was tasty as well.

The regular sushis roll had a lot of rice & were poorly cut, which negatively affected the overall experience. The general tao chicken was really bad, which is typically hard to miss…

The bathroom were really dirty, not to say nasty, which was very unpleasant & not hygienic.

Also, we had to pay 8$ for parking, which is expensive to encourage a local business…

Service was good, thanks!

I would return for sashimi, beef slices & beer only.

The food was good enough for AYCE. Most of the rolls lack flavor but a highlight was the wonton soup. They forgot to bring many things we ordered. Also it is not mentioned on the menu but the cokes are not with free refills. They bring you coke in a tiny glass & it's 4.00 each time. It you just want to eat a large amount of food it's a good place, but I rather have some good rolls even if I don't have as many.

The bathrooms were some of the most disgusting dirty toilets I have ever seen in my life. I have seen public port-a-pottys that were cleaner. One stall had like stalks of vegetables on the floor & a whole roll of toilet paper just sitting in the bowl. If you are going to need a bathroom, walk into the hotel.

The parking situation is bad for street parking. Basically you will need to park inside the structure for the hotel, & it is not very clearly marked. So plan ahead.

I phoned for a reservation. No one answered. 45-1 hour wait!! People sitting all over outside the restaurant.
The girls are run off their feet!
A couple ordered way too much food & should've been charged for it & offered a box, but no one helped them. They left at least 4 rolls untouched on their table & left.
The drinks are minimal! No tonic! I had one drink & never asked again if I wanted anything.
In the end, disappointed ☹?

We were so excited to come here, we love sushi & this place looked promising. We tried calling to make a reservation three times & kept getting hung up on. Not like we were calling during a lunch or supper rush either...
when we showed up the service was awful. We stood there & 5 staff members walked past without looking or saying anything to us. We ended up taking takeout because the place was packed, which is fine. However, the sushi was not the best :( when we went to the counter to pick up our order they barely even looked at us, didn't say a single word & just slid us our tray & walked away.
Our spicy salmon rolls didn't even all have salmon some were just cucumber & barely any cream cheese.
& didn't taste as fresh as other places we've tried.
Based on service alone I do not recommend. Very disappointing :

Malheureusement, la vitesse à répondre n'est pas le fort de cet établissement, car j'ai passé une commande à 12:20 & j'ai commencé à manger les 6 premiers morceaux 40 minutes après. C'est n'importe quoi. 🤬

On pourrait dire c'est à cause que l'établissement est full, mais c'était pas le cas. C'est vraiment le service qui ne répomd pas à la vitesse qu'on veut.

UPDATE:
Philadelphia Roll est arrivé avec 40 minutes de retard & les autres avec 1 heure de retard.

The price is pretty good for the buffet menu. Their rolls are quite sophisticated. I got Alaska roll: inside is spicy crab with crunchy crums, only thin layer of rice & raw tuna on top. Their rolls are fresh mace with warm rice, which i prefer than regular cold rice, in a moderate amount so eaters don't get full so quick. I like the beef ribs, quite tender & well marinated. General Tao is, however, missing a bit of salty taste. The sushi pizza is quite interesting. The morning buffet price is 25 dollars excluding tax, quite agreable. I guess that price available before 2pm, not so sure, I left around 1pm.

Value was just not there for the price.
The staff was good, very friendly, & came around enough. However the food was disappointing. Some of the rolls were massive & just fell apart. The general Tao chicken was very disappointing, drowning in this pink sauce creating a mushy texture. Been to several sushi restaurants & this one ranks on the disappointing side. 2-2.5 stars out of 5.

The rolls & special rolls are pretty good & the tempura is fantastic. The miso soup was very watery, the tamago came frozen & the cakes taste very artificial. The service is a little bit slow too. However, the mango, strawberry & chocolate ice cream are really good.

At Sushi Shogun, the sushi is delicious! From classic rolls to unique varieties, there's something for everyone. & don't even get me started on the desserts - tiramisu, ice cream, cheesecake, they have it all! The staff is super friendly, & the atmosphere is really welcoming. I had a great time there, & even though I wasn't a big sushi fan before, this place changed my mind. Plus, the prices are really reasonable, so I'll definitely be going back for more!
