Not sure what happened but the coffee was the worst coffee we've ever had. Both, cappuccino & the coffee with milk were so watered down & bland, it was essentially undrinkable. I am no coffee connoisseur by any means & can drink almost anything, but this was really bad.
An American company has no place being attached to such an iconic & historical Canadian landmark. Especially when Canada has lots of coffee companies that can offer the same experience.
My friends & I came here after unsuccessfully trying to get coffee at another shop.
It was a cold day, & we were running on little sleep from the past few days, lots of walking & hardly any food 😂. We were all a bit delirious & cranky.
One of the guys lined up at Starbucks while some of us walked around. I wanted to find a washroom, but there wasn't one nearby 😬. Starbucks was packed, & customers were buying tons of food. It's actually part of the Fairmont Hotel, but the door to the hotel was closed. Finally, someone opened it, & I ran in so fast 💨, carefully noting the direction to the washroom.
Meanwhile, my friend had finally gotten his order from Starbucks & started looking for everyone including me. He tried to call, but the signal didn't go through, so he panicked 🤣. As for me, I got a little confused on the way out since all the doors looked the same once they were closed, & people didn't speak English. I was disoriented for a few mins. Eventually, I found my way back.
By then, my coffee was cold & my cookie stale. It was only a 10-minute adventure, but while the food wasn't great, it definitely made for an entertaining story.
Flavourless yet extremely expensive coffee. After decades of making coffee, I'm not sure how Starbucks can leave out the main ingredient completely.
Great location & beautiful setting. but unfortunately the coffee was very disappointing. The flat white tasted weak & felt mostly like milk rather than a proper espresso-based drink. This was the worst coffee I've had at a Starbucks compared to other locations. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this location.
The Starbucks below Château Frontenac is fantastic, easily one of the best Starbucks locations thanks to its incredible setting near the river. It's the perfect spot to grab your favorite coffee, especially on a cold day, & enjoy the stunning views of the river & Old Town. However, I noticed the prices here seem higher compared to other Starbucks in Quebec City (though I'm not entirely sure). Also, the indoor seating area could be a bit cleaner. Overall, a great spot for coffee with an unbeatable view!
Starbucks Fairmont in Quebec City is a great spot for a coffee break. The drinks are consistently well-made, & the quality is exactly what you expect from Starbucks. The staff is friendly, efficient, & always welcoming. The location is clean, cozy, & a nice place to relax or get some work done. Service is quick even during busy hours, & everything is well-organized. A reliable stop for great coffee & a comfortable atmosphere!
I did not take any pictures because it was weird to record people, but the line goes out the door & the male cashier was the only one aware & tries to move the line quickly. The other cashier was not clocked in yet so she was having her Frappuccino in front of the customers with no consideration for the customers & there a long long line in a hot summer day. There was no management presence , & the male cashier was driving the process my hats off to him because he cared about the customers staying in line just for iced or hot coffee.
Coffee is great but no starbucks free wifi. Cant work much if you have your laptop with you
This Starbucks inside the Fairmont Hotel in Quebec City is a hidden gem. The location is unbeatable-right in the heart of the Old Town with easy access to all the main attractions. The sitting area is spacious, stylish, & perfect for relaxing with a coffee or getting a bit of work done. It has that cozy, upscale vibe you'd expect from being inside the Fairmont. Great spot for a quick break or a quiet recharge in the middle of exploring the city.
