Crowded when we arrived & waited about half an hour in total for a seat & our food to arrive. But it was a good call & there were some Asian looking folks which validated our choice.
The miso ramen was nicely done like what we had in Japan. Broth was rich but do note that the chashu is different. It was thicker & not torched. The egg was also abit over cooked & not as runny. But overall still a good bowl of ramen!
The star for me was the Yakisoba! Nicely stirred fried noodles which go really well with the vegetables. Again it's slightly salty which I guessed it's the norm for Canadians.
Recommend for anyone yearning for a some Japanese food in Quebec.
This place feels authentic, has great service but one pretty big flaw. The flaw that I am referring too is the fact that their menu is puny. I don't eat pork & the fact that I had to get vegetarian ramen kinda irked me. I have eaten ramen at a million different places & they all served either beef or chicken broth ramen. Still highly recommend if you eat pork based foods. The vegetarian ramen was still okay.
I loved this place! It was like going back to Japan! We were 4, the restaurant is cute, not too big & very welcoming. The staff is so kind & they explain perfectly the menu, which is amazing for people like me with ibs problems. They give you also advices to be satisfied spending less. The ramen was amazing! I chose a shoy?. The portion was big & i replaced the pork with the chicken, adding the tofu without any problems. We also shared the mochis, suddenly it was like being in Kyoto 😍 Takoyaki are also recommended! Prices very good: average 22$ each for a ramen + shared dessert. Thank you for this experience!

Best spot in town, from local. Cant reserve so get a beer & wait in line. Make sure to get a bottle of umeshu. Probablement le meilleur Kara-age du quartier & aussi le restaurant japonais le plus authentique du quartier. Les oeufs de caille & les gyoza (porc gingembre je crois), ainsi que les takoyaki son incontournable. Je recommande de commander plusieurs petites entrées c'est vraiment super. Aussi il est possible de partager un bol de ramen.
Parlant des ramens, les bouillon son super goûteux. J'adore le staff de se petit resto, de loin un de mes coups de coeur du quartier. J'y retourne tjr plusieurs fois par année.
Good place. Only a handful of tables so there can be a wait (20 Mins for us standing outside). Intimate inside. Plenty of staff. We thought the food was excellent. Would recommend & visit again.
Tout petit restaurant japonais sur la rue Saint-Joseph qui est très populaire, avec raison! J'y vais depuis tout jeune & j'ai toujours adoré la nourriture offerte & l'ambiance "tissée serrée" chaleureuse & parfaite pour y aller en famille, entre amis, ou seuls! Je recommande d'essayer une variété des "tsumami" à partager, entre autres les Gyoza, le Yaki-Soba, le poulet Kara-agé (un délice), la salade Wafu ou les Tako-yaki!
Pour les meilleures soupe ramen dans ma ville de Québec, c'est la place. Les nouilles sont faites maison, & la différence se voit tout de suite, tant visuellement qu'en bouche. Pensez à goûter les beignets de pieuvre, c'est un pur délice! Laissez-vous aussi recommander les boissons alcoolisées originaires du Japon qui vont vous sortir de votre confort, mais combien goûteuses. & pour finir, le décor à la japonaise, l'accueil & le départ toujours fait chaleureusement.
Étant une adepte des ramens, j'étais si contente de venir mais... Je suis très étonnée par les notes de cet endroit. Nous avons goûté le Shoyu ramen & nous avons été très déçus. Premièrement, le porc n'était pas assez tendre, nous aurions aimé bien plus de bouillon (la portion de bouillon est si petite), le tout n'avait pas assez de goût. On aimerait également d'un point de vue hygiène que les cuisiniers utilisent des ustensiles ou gants plutôt que directement leurs mains pour composer les ramens. Les Dumplings étaient eux bons. Le service était bon également. Je ne recommande pas forcément cet endroit en vue du prix.
