Let's start this article with this excellent initiative that launched last year and includes more than 50 sugar shacks in Quebec. You can go to their website and enter your postal code to see all the options available to you. Each sugar shack offers its own gourmet box that you can pick up at the Métro grocery store nearest to you. This year, there are more than 196 different pick-up locations in Quebec. They're also offering vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free or pork-free menus. When you order with them, you will receive the link to the show "Ma cabane à la maison", which helps recreate the atmosphere of a sugar shack at home!
Located on the shores of the St. Lawrence River on Île d'Orléans, La Sucrerie Blouin offers a magnificent setting to welcome you for your sugar shack feast. Sit back and enjoy traditional dishes cooked with local ingredients. From March 1st to April 30th, you can reserve your table from Thursday to Sunday (Monday to Wednesday upon request). Discover the little animals of the farm, take a ride on a horse-drawn sleigh, visit the production site and/or walk the beautiful footpaths of the sugar shack. A must-see in the Quebec City area, the Érablière du Lac-Beauport has been welcoming tourists and locals alike for many years. During the maple season, many activities are offered such as the interpretation center explaining the evolution of maple syrup, the trapper's camp with more than forty naturalized species, pony rides and wood sawing contests. The service is done at the tables at will during the months of March and April. It is possible to request a vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free menu with 24 hour advance notice. As of March 4th, it will be possible to visit the dining room of the Cabane à sucre Leclerc in Neuville. The meal is entirely homemade and traditional, served in porcelain cutlery. They are especially famous for their renowned meat pie, baked beans in an old-fashioned cast iron pot, potatoes cooked with cubes of hickory-smoked pork and more! Open since the 1920s, the Érablière le Chemin du Roy offers an enchanting setting only 10 minutes from downtown Quebec City. Head to Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures to enjoy an all-you-can-eat brunch, lunch or dinner. During your meal, sing along to the music of traditional Quebec musicians and a full bar service. The Cabane à Sucre Chabot is located in Neuville and also functions as a snowmobile/quads relay. For the past 3 generations, the family has been welcoming you in order to offer you a warm and family atmosphere. Each visit includes a tour of the mini-farm and inflatable games. A horse-drawn carriage tour is available for an additional fee. Le Relais Des Pins - Cabane à sucre
In the splendid setting of the Île d'Orléans is Le Relais des Pins. Whether you are 2 people or more, rest assured the place can accommodate up to 300 people after March 12th. Listen to folk music with an accordionist throughout the meal. Food is served at the table at will with their specialty of eggs poached in maple syrup. Vegetarian items can be requested with 24 hour advance notice. Enjoy a drink with their full service bar. If you're going with the kids, don't forget your booster seats or high chairs. Starting March 5th, the Érablière du Cap opens its doors for a new sugar season. Once you arrive in Levis, enjoy a hearty all-you-can-eat meal with table service and a carnivorous option and a vegetarian option (reservations required 24 hours in advance). On site, there will be musical entertainment, a visit to the sugar shack, a souvenir store, taffy on snow, a mini-farm and beautiful walking trails. During the week, it is reserved for daycare, retirement and work groups. On weekends, anyone can reserve a place by phone or online. With a capacity of 50 to 150 people, the Cabane à sucre Familiale will open its doors on March 14th. The Létourneau family has over 40 years of experience and offers old-fashioned meals. Let yourself be carried away by the wonderful view of the St. Lawrence River. There are many things to do in addition to eating a good meal such as a visit to the boiler room, walking trails and music. By reservation only by phone, the dining room is open from Monday to Sunday. Don't forget to bring your favorite alcohol to go with this feast! Au Chalet en Bois Rond -La Cabane festive
In Sainte-Christine-d'Auvergne in Portneuf, you will find this village of wooden chalets. In addition to the sugar shack, in winter, you can go dog sledding, snowmobiling with a guide, visit the kennel, rent fatbikes, skate, fishing, snowshoeing, walking and sliding! On the weekends of March 19th to April 17th, enjoy an all-you-can-eat sugar shack brunch. During the first three Fridays and Saturdays of April, reserve your seat for an 8-course gourmet dinner with a sugar theme. From March 27th to April 30th 2022, take advantage of the promotion that offers the 3rd night free! Brunch boxes to take home or in your cottage are available.
