About

Bachir delivers an authentic exploration of Levantine and Mediterranean traditions, emphasizing high-quality ingredients sourced for their freshness and bold aromatic profiles. Patrons encounter a diverse menu featuring expertly prepared falafel, seasoned shawarma, and vibrant mezze platters that prioritize traditional seasoning blends and preparation techniques. The kitchen focuses on the marriage of fresh produce, lean proteins, and authentic flatbreads, maintaining a consistent standard across all Mediterranean offerings. Diners engage with a menu that highlights the complex spices and textures foundational to Lebanese and Greek culinary styles. The interior environment fosters a straightforward, functional focus on the culinary craft rather than superfluous ornamentation. Every component, from creamy hummus to char-grilled meats, reflects a commitment to structural flavor balance and regional heritage, ensuring each serving adheres to classic techniques while supporting a focused, ingredient-driven menu approach.

Review Summary

Bachir is widely regarded as a hidden gem in Quebec City, consistently praised for its authentic, fresh, and delicious Lebanese cuisine. Guests frequently highlight the quality of the shawarma, flavorful falafel, and particularly the homemade baklava, which many describe as the best they have ever tasted. The atmosphere is generally described as warm and inviting, bolstered by exceptionally friendly and accommodating owners who take great pride in their service. While the vast majority of visitors report an outstanding dining experience with generous portions and high-quality ingredients, a small minority noted occasional inconsistencies regarding menu variety, portion sizing, or specific ingredient preparations. Overall, it remains a highly recommended destination for those seeking a genuine and memorable meal.

Fomos muito bem atendidos, comida servida rápido e muito gostosa. Pedimos sanduíche de falafel e assiette shawarma, uma delícia. Ainda ganhamos a sobremesa! Recomendo!

Hidden gem in the lovely neighborhood of Montcalm. One of our favorite restaurants in all of Quebec. 18+ years in business has to count for something. Owners & ambience are lovely. Do not miss this place while in Quebec!

We were in town for the week & wanted to try this restaurant. We came for dinner. The restaurant was empty. No meat on the spits. The owner pulled all the meat from the fridge & barely warmed it up. Definitely wouldn't go back.

On my first trip to Quebec, I randomly found this Lebanese restaurant on a r ainy afternoon. It was packed with customers, showing how popular it is! I tried the Shawarma platter with beef & side salad, & it was delicious! Especially loved the fresh side salad. The owner was super friendly, even though I don't speak French. They helped me take photos & treated me to a tasty homemade dessert. Overall, a great dining experience!
