Tous les plats étaient délicieux & nous avons passé un moment merveilleux ! Comme petit retour, je pense que la pizza Margherita aurait été encore meilleure si le basilic utilisé avait été du basilic doux.

I went to Birra e Basta on the evening of Saturday August 30, 2025 with my adult son.

I was not sure if i should rate a 1 or a 2. This particular visit was a 1. But I am willing to forgive that possibly it was just an off night or short staffed. In that case I would say 2, because I have gone there once last year & it was ok. Not great but just ok, not really deserving either a good/bad rating either way. But this review is for this particular visit. .

After having to call the server back for English menus after we were talking & it was clear we did not speak French. , we ordered appetizers to share: one of which was calamari which I thought would be a safe bet since it's supposed to be an Italian restaurant.
The server brought the apps.. just the app dishes, we had to call him back over to ask for napkins, cutlery & side plates.
The calamari was overcooked, like crunchy rubber. I can't remember what exactly the other app I ordered but I remember it was mushy. I normally would complain at the time about the calamari but didn't want to sour the visit.

We ordered our mains, I ordered a salad & my son ordered veal.
After a while the waiter came & asked if that would be all, ready with charger in hand. I said um, we have not yet received our mains. He was very confused. He went away & after quite a while we finally received the mains..We did not receive an apology or explanation for the delay. So I don't know what had happened with our order. The cheese in my salad was soft & plopped. The salad itself was somewhat edible but limp & not enjoyable. The veal was fine.

Anyway we ate, I left half of my main because it was soggy.. I was quite disappointed & not sure if I will go again.
I have been there once before, it was last year, & it was fine., maybe this was just a busy or short staffed that night I am not sure, but feel I had to submit a review for this visit.

Émile, jeune serveur au bira basta nous a servis comme des rois ce soir. Super service à la clientèle, très précis dans ses cocktails malgré son jeune âge. On voit qu'il se sent bien dans son lieu de travail. Très plaisant comme ambiance de restaurant.

Encore une fois la cuisine est vraiment excellente & l'ambiance & le service très appréciés. Les pâtes étaient vraiment bien. Parfait seul ou pour un groupe.

Repas très bon mais le service plus que horrible il y a bien des années que je n'ai pas eu un service aussi pitoyable & le mot est faible

Une super adresse avec une terrasse très sympa & bien placée pour boire un verre. Large choix & service très aimable, merci à Davi pour sa gentillesse & son sens de l'hospitalité! :)
