Ça fait plusieurs années que nous allons manger au Bistro Saint-Malo, & à chaque année c'est une expérience unique! Cette fois-ci, nous sommes venus avec nos amis de longue date & c'était une soirée mémorable! Merci à Phil & surtout à notre serveur, Daevon! 🤩

This Bistro has wonderful food & service. The staff & owner were super kind during the winter carnival. The drinks were quite tasty & they have their own brand of Gin which I highly recommend. It made our visit more magical!

Le service & l'ambiance sont tout simplement fantastiques. Le côté bistro, avec peu de tables dans un petit bâtiment & une playlist de vieilles chansons françaises, crée une atmosphère chaleureuse & très agréable. Les moules étaient excellentes, les frites aussi. J'ai été rassasié, peut-être qu'une portion légèrement plus petite aurait permis de mieux apprécier les saveurs. Globalement, je recommande vivement & j'y reviendrai !

Exellent restaurant que je fréquente depuis plusieurs années. L'ambiance au top & l'été, une belle terrasse animée. Le menu (bistro) est super intéressant. Les ris de veau sont incroyables (les meilleurs que j'ai mangé). La tartetatin est sublime mais (trop) cher.

Tonight, in Quebec, we had one of the best meals of our lives! This is not an easy reservation! I would suggest reserving when you plan the trip! Bistro St Malo is a small iconoclastic space in the gallery district by the St Lawrence river. It is a 10 minute walk from the bottom Funicular stop. The food is locally sourced & the restaurant is chef owned! The meals & desserts were spectacular! We loved the tuna tartare, the fish soup with lobster, shrimp, mussels cooked in a saffron lobster bisque, the roast cod with mushroom gnocchi, & the Tarte Tatin! I will eat there every time we com to Quebec! Our server was delightful & spoke impeccable English. Truly great meal!

Wonderful evening at Bistro St Malo, escargots for starter that was a bit different than the standard with a wonderful cheese melted on top. We opted for the'Heavenly Thursday' special & enjoyed Osso Bucco & a lovely rabbit dish served over a cheesy risotto. Along with a glass of excellent Bordeaux. Ended with a crème brûlée & a sparkling sweet wine with a lovely peach flavor. Our server was wonderful & we enjoyed everything, including the small dining room upstairs. Perfect evening. Thank you to the staff & owners of Bistro St Malo.

Bistro St-Malo was so delicious for brunch that we went back for supper. It was hands down the best food experience of our trip. We had mussels to start & I had beef cheek poutine for my main. My husband had blood pudding for his main & then finished my poutine since it was so huge & couldn't be conquered solo. We then shared a blueberry & chocolate tart with blueberries locally picked. Everything was phenomenal & the service was outstanding. The team took pride in what they provided & it didn't disappoint. 10/10 recommend.

The staff made my visit very enjoyable. The Beef Carpaccio tastes so good for an appetizer dish. The Seafood Stew (Ragout de la Mer) carries so much flavour & is filled with only quality seafood ingredients. The Cassoulet includes Duck Confit for really full flavour. Kudos to the chef (Philippe) for his meticulous choice of the best ingredients & his team's hard work to make these dishes outstanding. Also our thanks to our host & waiter Daevon for providing his excellent service to make my evening an unforgettable experience.

I finished the evening with a rich & creamy dessert with the Ameretto Creme Brulee. This dining experience will certainly guarantee my return to Bistro St-Malo!

Just ensure you make a reservation ahead of your visit. Walk-in visitors are likely to be turned away if it is a busy night.
