We didn't make reservation, walked in at around 7:30pm.
They served authentic french cuisines. I ordered grilled poulet with fries & an mussel dish, 5 out of 5.
Their wine hit because the vibe of the place making it 5 out of 5.
The servers were friendly, 5 out of 5.
Highly recommended!
An insanely charming & friendly French bistro where the service staff & the chef are laughing & dancing the night away :-) SUCH a happy place with absolutely extraordinarily good food! The music, the space, & the ambience are second to none. We feel so fortunate to have found this magical spot to which we were referred by several different locals :-) We're already planning our return visit! Merci Beaucoup!
Perfect restaurant for authentic French food. The service was amazing & the ambiance cozy. Highly recommend!
We stumbled upon this Bistro for a nightcap & realized that we found a jewel, not just the ambiance but staff as well. The following night, we returned for our last meal before our vacation was over. The food was exquisite, the staff makes you feel like family, & Chef/owner Phillipe is remarkably talented. We had the beef cheeks, pasta carbonara & French onion soup. Camille, who served us - you are a true joy & anyone who meets you will realize this. We can't recommend this restaurant highly enough!!!
Such a cute & cozy bistro! The staff was attentive even though it was very busy & the food was delicious. We had a French onion soup, seafood stew, beef cheeks & the duck along with a pitcher of sangrias. All the dishes were delightful.
Wonderful experience at this restaurant & the food was very tasty. We ordered the French onion soup (quite a big serving for the starter size), tuna tartare, the seafood stew (amazing!) & the apple tart (so big we couldn't finish it). I would definitely order the soup again & the beef cheek looked amazing too! The food was delicious & we were definitely not hungry after this meal! Service was impeccable & food came out quickly.
In the lower Old Town. Large portions & authentic French. The boudin noir was moist & flavorful. I would go back there every time in the city.
Struggled to decide what to have for dinner because, honestly, everything on the menu looks incredible. Ended up with a French onion soup & tuna tartare starter, both fantastic. For mains, I had the beef cheek, & no word of a lie, beef will never taste the same again to me. It was without question, the best beef I've ever tasted. 30 hour sous vide for the win. My family also had the cassoulet (duck leg was pretty special) & carbonara (bonus points for the quail egg). I'm not going to say that we drove all the way from Ottawa just to eat here, but I will say that when I get a craving for beef cheek - which is bound to happen now that I've tasted the beef of the gods - this place will be worth the drive. Camille also gets bonus points for knowing exactly how much wine one needs (i.e. more) & being a lovely server.
We both ordered the 1/2 roasted chicken dinner with French fries. It was outstanding. Succulent & moist. & the portion was enormous. The mussel appetizer was OK as was the escargot. The Pinot Noir wine they served was from 2023 & not ready to be served. Would go back for the chicken since it might have been the best single dish we had in our four days in the city.
