Absolutely superb! Came here with my partner on a Sunday night. We made a reservation because we knew we wanted to come here. Really cozy & friendly atmosphere with great food & lovely staff. As a tourist, I got the sense we were amongst many regulars, enjoying a nice meal over wine with their loved ones :).
We sincerely enjoyed everything we had, which was the ravioli appetizer, the fois gras, mussels in marinière (half portion, still 1 pound so plenty!), cassoulet, & the crème brûlée. The cassoulet was our absolute favorite - so fresh & absolutely delicious. The duck meat fell right off the bone & was seasoned so perfectly. We savored every bite.
The staff was so kind they gave us complimentary glasses of amaretto to enjoy with our crème brûlée. Merci beaucoup! We can't wait to come back!!
We didn't make reservation, walked in at around 7:30pm.
They served authentic french cuisines. I ordered grilled poulet with fries & an mussel dish, 5 out of 5.
Their wine hit because the vibe of the place making it 5 out of 5.
The servers were friendly, 5 out of 5.
Highly recommended!
My wife & I visited & had one of the best meals we have ever had. The restaurant is cozy. We ate at the best restaurants, from Paris to Madrid to New Orleans. We had reservations months ahead. If you want to go for dinner, you must make reservations. Be sure to get a table downstairs. The Bordeaux wine is perfect & a fair price. The waitresses, Florence & Megan, are excellent & full of joy & knowledge of food. Chef Phill is very welcoming & hardworking.
Amazing how a place can feel so much like home while also offering some of the best food we've ever had. Fantastic service, wine selection & ambience! We've been in Quebec for a couple weeks & have tried a couple dozen restaurants & this one came out on top. Make a reservation here, you won't regret it!
What an all encompassing delight of a dining experience. 10/10 across the board. Camille, our server, had the best recommendations. The food & wine were exceptional. Try the beef cheek! Make a reservation! Spend all of your money here.
Struggled to decide what to have for dinner because, honestly, everything on the menu looks incredible. Ended up with a French onion soup & tuna tartare starter, both fantastic. For mains, I had the beef cheek, & no word of a lie, beef will never taste the same again to me. It was without question, the best beef I've ever tasted. 30 hour sous vide for the win. My family also had the cassoulet (duck leg was pretty special) & carbonara (bonus points for the quail egg). I'm not going to say that we drove all the way from Ottawa just to eat here, but I will say that when I get a craving for beef cheek - which is bound to happen now that I've tasted the beef of the gods - this place will be worth the drive. Camille also gets bonus points for knowing exactly how much wine one needs (i.e. more) & being a lovely server.
We both ordered the 1/2 roasted chicken dinner with French fries. It was outstanding. Succulent & moist. & the portion was enormous. The mussel appetizer was OK as was the escargot. The Pinot Noir wine they served was from 2023 & not ready to be served. Would go back for the chicken since it might have been the best single dish we had in our four days in the city.
Food was delicious! Everything was extremely tasty & good portions. My only complaint & the reason for 4* is the wine pours were so small that I thought it was a mistake! When I ordered my second glass, I mentioned something but the server said this was normal?!?! I dine out often enough that it seemed like maybe 4 oz. Perhaps I would recommend a bottle if we dined here again since this seemed so unreasonable. The steak, cod & French Onion soup were excellent. Otherwise the restaurant was very good!
Great food & service. Had escargots as an entree which was delicious. Moules frites was also perfect. My son's octopus was just a little overcooked but I was glad they had the Entre Deux Mers wine from France that I love. Excellent service going out of their way to find us a place even though it was quite busy. Make a reservation to be sure not to miss it. Nice sitting outside.
