We went on a food tour of Quebec & our guide recommended St. Malo. We were not disappointed. We ordered the Moules Marinière & Frites - Trés Délicieux. They were as good as any we had in Brussels & we consider theirs to be the best. The service was friendly, helpful, & professional & the prices were reasonable for that area of Quebec.

J'ai passé une agréable sortie au Bistro St-Malo cet été 2024. La terrasse est vraiment accueillante pour déguster un bon repas. Les plats étaient copieux & répondaient parfaitement à mes goûts. De plus, la qualité des saveurs & le choix proposé sont tout simplement excellents. Une adresse à recommander sans hésitation !

We stumbled upon this Bistro for a nightcap & realized that we found a jewel, not just the ambiance but staff as well. The following night, we returned for our last meal before our vacation was over. The food was exquisite, the staff makes you feel like family, & Chef/owner Phillipe is remarkably talented. We had the beef cheeks, pasta carbonara & French onion soup. Camille, who served us - you are a true joy & anyone who meets you will realize this. We can't recommend this restaurant highly enough!!!

Magnifique soirée. Belle ambiance sur fond de musique française. Plats délicieux, frites savoureuses & service impeccable de Camille. Merci à toute l'équipe à la cuisine. Il est judicieux de réserver si vous souhaitez vous régaler dans ce bijou culinaire du vieux-Québec.

This place may have been the star of our trip. They run a special on Thursdays, where you get a entrée & a beer for around 30 bucks. My wife had carbonara & I had a duck casserole, both were extremely good. The staff were really nice & we had a great time at the restaurant.

This was our favorite experience / meal in QC. It's a must with reservations as we saw them turning people away left & right w/o one. It's a quaint restaurant - with an outside seating & upstairs. We sat downtstairs & loved the atmosphere. For drinks - we got the Pinot Noir & it was delicious. I had several glasses of it! For food - we started with the mussels. They had 5 different flavors & we did the mustard / cheese one & asked for bread to dip in the sauce. It was delicious - that sauce! I then had the Octopus Limencello & my husband had the Carbonaro (which used a similar sauce as the Mussels). I loved the salad that came with the octopus & I snuck a few bites of the rich pasta. It was a great meal & I would recommend the restaurant.

I waited for 10minutes for the seat, the waiter didn't come out even though there were many empty seats.

Such a cute & cozy bistro! The staff was attentive even though it was very busy & the food was delicious. We had a French onion soup, seafood stew, beef cheeks & the duck along with a pitcher of sangrias. All the dishes were delightful.
