They move quickly when taking your order so a tad unnerving. Sitting outside on the Place Royal while having breakfast really can't be beat. I feel like it's a must do in Québec.
Was excited to have real croissant in Quebec city given that I am very careful with my carbs. So did the research, & went to this place for breakfast. Beautiful location. Nice ambiance. Great coffee. Food: disappointment! The quiche was microwaved (probably from the day before)! The croissant was definiyely NOT fresh from that morning, was soggy, not the way you expect it from real French bakery! Now feeling angry for consuming all these calories without the pleasure I anticipated
Had coffee & croissant , tasted really well. Not over expensive. Must visit if in quebec city downtown.
Ordered 2 ham & cheese croissants & 2 large drinks (late & green tea) . The taste is good but we paid almost 40$ . I think that is too much for a caffe food that is not plated in gold. Honestly i would not pay that much for the food i got. A tourist trap at its best!
this cafe is pretty good, a bit higher price than a less touristy area but not too bad. 6 CAD for a croissant is pretty decent. since the croissants are huge & stuffed to the brim with almonds & chocolate, it tasted a good as it looked.
Excellent quiche Lorraine & ham croissant. Just as good tirimisu latte & chai latte. Total spent $37. A cosy place to stay warm in the old town. Don't let the negative reviews put you off.
A great way to start the day before sight seeing around Quebec City. We enjoyed iced lattes & some baked goods. The chocolate almond croissant & the apple turnover were both delightful. The pastry is flaky & buttery, & melts in your mouth.
Love their croissants. The best part is, after 20 minutes of walk, my chocolate croissant was still nice & warm! I saw someone said this place has the best croissant in the area, hands down, I agree.👍👍👍
Smith's is like their Starbucks around here. They're everywhere. Good for mid day cafe & croissant.
