Really like the simple menu with Vietnam essentials. Ordered the beef pho, bun cha, fresh spring rolls & lime juice. Everything was flavorful but in a light & healthy way. One thing to notice is there's no AC inside, dining outside on a hot summer day would be ideal.
Everything that we ordered was so delicious & fresh. This is one of the best Vietnamese restaurants I've ever been in. I highly recommend everyone to try it out.
I had an amazing time here with my friends. The service, the art, the food everything was perfect. I had everything on the menu & it was all really well made with fresh ingredients.
Very low key homemade Vietnamese place. They had a very limited menu & everything we ordered was great & very fresh. The complimentary hot tea however was over brewed & a bit bitter. We ordered Vermicelli bowl & Pho & both were very different from the other places I have had.
Ok, you're overly cheesed, sugared & buttered from the usual fare in Quebec, then you stumble across Chez Yen. Yes! A small menu, but what they do, they do very well. Besides the other reviews about what has a Quebec style influence in the food (banh mi, anyone?), the noodle & pho offerings are huge,'clean' tasting (as in not so salty, etc.), laden with fresh vegetables, & delicately spiced. Yum!
Incredible, authentic Vietnamese food served by lovely people in a cozy setting. I highly recommend the pork vermicelli bowl or the tofu bahn mi! A wonderful place to get some fresh, unique flavors amongst the heavier fare that is more common around QC.
Chez Yên - Vietnamese Restaurant ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Absolutely delicious! The food here is fresh, flavorful, & authentic-everything from the pho to the spring rolls tastes homemade & full of care. Portions are generous, prices are fair, & the menu has a great variety. The atmosphere is cozy & welcoming, & the staff are super friendly & attentive, making you feel right at home. Whether you're stopping in for a quick meal or dining with friends & family, Chez Yên is a spot you'll want to come back to again & again.
Small menu but they do it all right. We had the bowl, a banh mi & spring rolls. Very flavorful & fresh. Service was friendly & kind.
It was honestly everything we wanted in this hot summer evening: a menu of well homemade staples, fresh & rather affordable by Québec standards.
In the words of the great Arnold, we'll be back.
Six of us came here to grab a bowl of pho. Since we are from Boston, our standard for this special Vietnamese soup is quite high. We ordered the beef soup, fried spring rolls, & fresh spring rolls. Everything, from the soup to the dipping sauces for the rolls were excellent! The two young ladies who were our servers were very sweet. We arrived shortly after they had just opened, & we had asked to be seated outside even though the tables & chairs had not been set up yet. It was a beautiful morning & to sit outside & enjoy a warm delicious bowl of pho was just the perfect way to end our weekend trip before heading home. I will be returning in the fall!
