The setting is lovely & we have enjoyed meals at Chez Muffy before. But this evening we had incredibly slow service, which happens. But more of an issue was the food - which was just not that great & portions were minuscule. I really felt like we nowhere got the appropriate value for the very high expense. Not sure I would eat here again, even though we love staying at the Auberge.

Avant de partir, nous avons voulu réserver pour une autre date. La réponse a été qu'il fallait s'adresser aux ventes. Nos échanges avec le serveur nous ont clairement fait comprendre que nous, qui ne logions pas à l'hôtel, n'étions pas les bienvenues...même si nous allons Chez Muffy depuis plusieurs années. Six clientes de Québec sont donc parties avec un goût amer dans la bouche, & ce, même si le petit-déjeuner était très bon.

We had a really nice breakfast at Chez Muffy! The staff gave us great recommendations & we really like the pancake & breakfast stuffed croissant we ordered. The staff are friendly, atmosphere is cozy. Would recommend this place to anyone.

Best fine dining experience ever! Thank you very much for amazing service from the moment we entered the restaurant & until we left. Every single dish was presented beautifully & tasted wonderful. If you want the best gastronomic experience in Quèbec City, Chef Muffy is the place. I will definitely come back when I am back in town.

Unfortunately our reservation was at 8 but we were not seated until 830. We were not offered any comp for the delay & it did seem to impact our service after. Food was mostly good to very good but the peach dessert really missed pretty badly. The bread was not in any way worthy of a place at such an expensive table. Our server was quite good but hampered by the circumstances. No maitre'd to fix things. Unfortunate. Really unfortunate when one compares to 5 or so years ago when Muffy was firing on all cylinders.

Excellent all the way around. Expensive but we knew that. Chez Muffy has some terrible recent reviews on the Internet. We decided to go & had a wonderful dinner. The Frontenac has some guests with recent poor experiences. I let them know that we had an excellent experience. Somehow you have to market yourself better. Jim King
