Was VERY impressed with deTerroir Cafe.
Quality ingredients & local farm sourced milk for drinks.
I had cortado, which is one of my standards & it was one of the best I've had anywhere.
The house made whippet dessert was also exceptional. Chocolate exterior with house made marshmallow, house made caramel & praline. Try one, it will be memorable.
Shop interior is small with limited seating, but staff was very kind & polite to us English only Yankees who were trying our best.
Overall, b/c everything was truly exceptional 11.5/10, would go back & go out of the way to do so.
Great coffee shop. Good quality coffee & sweet treats. Dog friendly & super friendly staff!
I'm a regular of this coffee shop & as both initially a tea-tasting enthusiast & a local shop nerd, I would recommend this coffee shop for every coffee amateur. The aromas of even a filter coffee are clear & reminds of fruits, & the croffles are made daily. The ethics of the coffee shop are also clear - traceability, community (people often go here to chat), contributing to the neighbourhood life, etc. The staff are also bilingual. The options are few, but the quality is incomparable to any other coffee shop I've went to in Québec City. For a better experience, going between the first two opening hours, the croffles are still warm & the coffee shop is very calm.
This small coffee shop was a pleasant discovery after a disappointing experience at a more well-known spot. Drawn in by its positive reviews on Google Maps, we decided to give it a try, & it did not disappoint. The shop is cozy, & the woman running it-likely the owner-was incredibly welcoming & attentive. The service was warm, & the coffee itself was excellent, rich in flavor & clearly made with care. The accompanying sweets were equally delightful.
Needed to escape the rain & found this place on Google Maps. I love coffee but not caffeine. Many coffee places don't sell decaf & look at you like a degenerate if you ask for it. But, luckily, they serve decaf. I had a decaf cappuccino & it was so good, I didn't feel the need to add sugar. It had a really interesting flavor, sort of an earthy, slightly salty taste. & the coffee temperature was just right, hot but not scalding. I stayed there until the rain subsided, almost an hour, & no one bother me. Only thing they could do better is advertise; the sign of the place says nothing & you can easily pass by without noticing the coffee shop. & that would be a shame.
Nice coffee shop. Good tasting coffee. Friendly & quick service. Cozy atmosphere with some seating. They don't have too many pastry options, but their croffle is quite good 😋.
