Awesome spot, if you're into third wave you're gonna love it. Croffle was 👌. Fellow Anglo's try speaking French… the barista was super kind & gave me a mini French lesson on dairy vs oat milk when I started to struggle.

Je suis un grand amateur de café &, sincèrement, je n'ai jamais trouvé un meilleur café en ville.

Chez deterroir Café, tout est fait avec un souci du détail remarquable. Les baristas connaissent réellement leur métier, maîtrisent leurs produits & ça se goûte dans chaque tasse. On sent qu'ici, le café n'est pas simplement servi : il est travaillé avec passion & précision.

J'apprécie aussi énormément leur philosophie : mise en valeur des produits locaux, circuits courts, traçabilité du café & sélection rigoureuse des produits. Tout est cohérent, de la provenance jusqu'à ce qu'on retrouve dans notre tasse.

Si vous passez devant deTerroir Café sur Saint-Jean, vous devez absolument vous y arrêter. & même si ce n'est pas sur votre chemin, ça vaut sans aucun doute le détour.

Une adresse exceptionnelle à Québec pour ceux qui aiment vraiment le bon café.

Helpful staff as we took a while to decide on which of the cakes, cookies & scones to choose. They were all super tasty as it happens 😊... & excellent coffee!

We visited because of the excellent reviews, but unfortunately our experience was disappointing.

We completely respect that French is the primary language in Québec. However, when we didn't immediately respond to the initial'Bonjour,' it was repeated in a way that felt uncomfortable rather than welcoming. Even after it was clear that we were English-speaking visitors, the interaction continued in French, which made us feel as though we weren't welcome.

The matcha latte was also just average & did not live up to the high expectations from the reviews. We hope the café can offer a warmer experience for tourists, regardless of the language they speak.

wonderful place! absolutely the best cappuccino i've had in quebec during this trip! i hope to return in time for pastries; they were sold out by the time i arrived in the afternoon. if you appreciate good espresso, it is worth going out of your way to come here!
