We were hesitant when we found out that the only place was sitting at the bar - but we thoroughly enjoyed our evening. Seats were comfortable, bar staff & servers were attentive & friendly, food was good. We ended up talking with a new trainee from Peru & staff from USA. Multilingual, funny, engaging & professional. We ended up speaking to other patrons at the bar. We could not have anticipated such a delightful evening. The bar choice is highly recommended.

The entire experience was wonderful, from the delicious food to the attentive service . Our server, Joe, was incredibly friendly & attentive throughout our meal. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Absolutely, totally delightful! From the checked tablecloths to the impeccable service to the incredibly delicious breakfast (bacon tartine). Highly, highly recommend & will absolutely return when we go back to Quebec City ... probably more than once!

Could not say better things about this restaurant!! We came for breakfast, but ended up getting there too late (late risers) so we had the poutine & salad & decided to stay for the cocktails!! & OH! The cocktails! Our waiter, Chris, had just reconstructed the cocktail menu & it was impeccable! Highly recommend the La Buvette, perfect balance on a creative cocktail! The poutine is an elevated version of what you can get in Old Quebec City - definitely worth the stop to give it a try. The atmosphere, with its old world stone wall along the back, & lovely fireplace, the modern entryway with the hostess stand doorway, the antler chandeliers, which usually aren't my jam, but surprisingly work in this space, the modern alt/pop-rock playing on the speakers in the dining room, the basement bathroom, it's the perfect marriage of all this quaintness you'd expect & modern taste that is necessary to attract the most discerning clientele. MUST SEE in Quebec City! Hot tip: Request Chris as your waiter! Ask him to give you his recommendations of his faves in the city!

Excellent breakfast! A new establishment with fantastic service. Warm & inviting environment with cool & current background music. Charles was attentive & informative, answering our menu questions & guiding us to the best breakfast we've had during our stay in Old Quebec. Highly recommend!

On s'est arrêté pour prendre des cocktails & un plat de charcuterie - les cocktails étaient absolument excellent, le service incroyable - tout le monde était super sympa, & la nourriture de très bonne qualité- très recommandé ! We stopped in for cocktails & a charcuterie board - the cocktails were absolutely excellent, the service unbelievable & the food was great - highly recommend !
