Food was delicious! We shared the brunch plate & everything was very good. My sister & brother-in-law had the trout toast (generous portion) & the BLT tartine & both really enjoyed it. Would recommend!

Absolutely, totally delightful! From the checked tablecloths to the impeccable service to the incredibly delicious breakfast (bacon tartine). Highly, highly recommend & will absolutely return when we go back to Quebec City ... probably more than once!

Recommended by a friend & drawn by its high ratings, we decided to try La Buchette for brunch. The food was delightful. I opted for the "Fat-Man" dish, a hearty serving of bacon, eggs, sausage, & more, which the waitress recommended knowing my love for protein. It was perfectly prepared-not too salty at all. My friend enjoyed the caramel & maple syrup toast, which was sweetened just right, showcasing the restaurant's skillful seasoning. The rabbit dish, another specialty, was a bit heavy on the sauce for my taste; a lighter touch would be preferred. The waitress was incredibly helpful, & the atmosphere was ideal for starting a day in Quebec.

Could not say better things about this restaurant!! We came for breakfast, but ended up getting there too late (late risers) so we had the poutine & salad & decided to stay for the cocktails!! & OH! The cocktails! Our waiter, Chris, had just reconstructed the cocktail menu & it was impeccable! Highly recommend the La Buvette, perfect balance on a creative cocktail! The poutine is an elevated version of what you can get in Old Quebec City - definitely worth the stop to give it a try. The atmosphere, with its old world stone wall along the back, & lovely fireplace, the modern entryway with the hostess stand doorway, the antler chandeliers, which usually aren't my jam, but surprisingly work in this space, the modern alt/pop-rock playing on the speakers in the dining room, the basement bathroom, it's the perfect marriage of all this quaintness you'd expect & modern taste that is necessary to attract the most discerning clientele. MUST SEE in Quebec City! Hot tip: Request Chris as your waiter! Ask him to give you his recommendations of his faves in the city!

We decided to book La Buchette for our final dinner in Quebec. La Buchette absolutely did not disappoint as a grand finale vacation meal. The ambiance of the restaurant was cozy & welcoming, the staff were very friendly, attentive, & conversational. Christopher was assisting us with our meal & was thorough with all of his descriptions of the foods & drinks we ordered. He & the rest of the staff took time to get to know us & make sure that everything we ordered was to our liking. We ordered the lion's mane mushrooms, the duck carpaccio, the bison tomahawk, & flambéed crepes for dessert. The dinner service was paced well & the presentations were beautiful. The mushrooms had an interestingly complex, savory flavor, the bison was cooked perfectly tender, there was no need for a serrated knife. The crepes were an experience in themselves, flambéed table side with maple ice cream on the side. The cocktails were creative & all had a little bit of local flair with the choice of ingredients. I would absolutely recommend La Buchette to anyone looking to have a delicious & elevated dining experience with the local flavors of Quebec. If I lived in the area, I could easily see myself being a regular for a delightful weekend meal.
