We came to Quebec from Orlando, FL to explore the new culture, history, food, etc. & we were very lucky to stop for lunch at LA Buchette. The food & service were beyond our expectations, & our waiter Christopher was the best: understanding, caring, very professional, speaking many languages. He was very attentive & carefully attended to
my multiple allergies. We will definitely recommend this place to Quebec City visitors.

We ate outside & it was beautiful, our waitress was super nice & attentive! We started with a latte & green tea, both well sized. Ordered the crepes & cassoulet to split, both were amazing. Would recommend the crepes with maple syrup! The waitress gave us maple lollipops when we said we were celebrating our honeymoon which was super kind & thoughtful. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area!

We had an amazing dinner experience! The restaurant was beautiful, the atmosphere was wonderful, & the service was excellent. The staff waz incredibly attentive, friendly, & made our evening even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Great selection of classic breakfast/brunch fare in a full on Canadiana decorated space. Every dish was beautifully prepared, with quality ingredients (read thick & crispy bacon, Quebec maple syrup, light crepes, & great coffee) & the service was both friendly & incredibly fast. Reservations are recommended for breakfast/brunch as the space is not huge & the place is very popular. Highly recommended.

First visit to Quebec City. La Buchette has a wonderful ambience & serving staff-warm, friendly & highly knowledgeable. The food is wonderful, refined, but yet homey. I will definitely return & recommend to others.

When you order hamburger, be sure to ask for pink or medium rare. I ordered them on three separate occasions from different servers & none of them bothered to ask how I'd like it done. So they all came out anywhere from well done & very dry.

If you never had poutine you can upgrade your side of fries to poutine for seven bucks. It's pretty decent poutine.

The lunch menu selection is very limited but you may be able to order breakfast past lunch time.

The service is on the slow side so don't come here if you are tight on schedule.

I recommend having the mussels & blue cheese sauce. However don't order it if you go by there yourself. Split it with at least two people if not three & share other dishes.

Overall I think this place is solid but keep your expectation low. It is not nearly as good as the rating suggests. So if you can't find a table don't wait more than ten minutes. You can find alternatives nearby.
