Come and discover La Bûchette, a Quebec "buvette" in Old Quebec on the superb Sainte-Anne Street, a pedestrian street, just a stone's throw from Rue du Trésor and the Château Frontenac.
Whether for breakfast, lunch, dinner or brunch, come visit us!
La Buchette offers a welcoming and cozy atmosphere in the heart of Quebec City, frequently praised for its distinctively rustic decor and excellent location. Many guests enjoy the diverse menu, with standout dishes like the beef bourguignon, duck carpaccio, and various brunch offerings often highlighted as delicious and well-prepared. While the restaurant experiences high traffic, the staff is consistently described as friendly, attentive, and professional, frequently going above and beyond to provide a memorable dining experience. Although opinions on certain dishes and service speeds vary during busy periods, the majority of visitors appreciate the quality of the ingredients and the overall culinary experience.
Check the menu on the website, NOT on Google maps, needs some serious updating. The food is mid & not worth paying tourist prices. The Poutine & roasted duck was amazing though, I will admit that!
Super service & super nourriture! (:
Without a doubt, a hidden gem in the heart of Quebec City. We came with high expectations, & they were completely exceeded. It's an unpretentious place with an amazing vibe, a cozy atmosphere, & outstanding food.
We stopped by for breakfast & ordered Le Patron breakfast sandwich with egg & bacon. The bacon was absolutely spectacular, & the sandwich was perfectly put together with homemade mayonnaise & bread that complemented every bite.
To finish, we shared the French toast & added an extra side of bacon, which was definitely worth it.
Breakfast includes coffee (the only part of the experience that wasn't particularly memorable) & iced tea.
If we ever return to Quebec City, we'll definitely be back.

A very unique & antique place located in downtown with a real European town feel. The area is beautiful, clean, & well maintained, with nice options for outdoor seating. The staff was very friendly & welcoming.
The restaurant is usually very busy, & you may have to wait outside. Reservations are highly recommended because they may not allow walk-ins when it's full.
There are limited options for visitors from outside Quebec & not many choices for kids. The food was decent, but I felt the hype was bigger than the actual experience.
Overall, it's a nice place to visit for the atmosphere, location, & historic feeling, but the food experience was just average.
Thank you La Buchette & Diego, for the best dinner in Quebec City! This lovely restaurant serves fresh, delicious food made even better by the amazing staff. Everyone was so attentive. Highly recommended truffle fries & (!) they serve lions mane mushroom steak!
