Recently tried the French Onion Soup at la Cuisine, & it was absolutely delightful! The soup had a rich, flavorful broth with just the right balance of sweetness & savory notes. The melted cheese & crispy bread topping were perfectly done, making each bite indulgent. The presentation was on point, & the service was excellent, making the overall dining experience memorable. Highly recommend trying it if you're a fan of French classics!
Nice place & nice atmosphere. The food was heated in the microwave, which is pretty weird & might explain the affordable pricing. Taste-wise, it was just average. We had shepherd's pie, lasagna, & the soup of the day, which was a tomato-pepper soup. I would probably recommend it for a drink & the cozy vibes, but less so for eating out.
In our first day in Quebec, we stoped in La Cuisine for a quick lunch before arriving to the hotel. It was raining a lot, so the convenience parking lot just in front of the restaurant was a plus. Also, they are very welcoming & they cook just in there that you can see. The food was so delicious as well as the dessert. Another thing is the concept of the space, they have a many different things to decorate the restaurant that make it unique. They reminded me my early years with a Mario Bro TV game that was so nostalgic. The seat & tables as well as the dishes & cups are all mixed which also made this place authentic. They provided us water in a bottler not as the traditional water jar. In the way to the bathroom, there are many music posters from back in the days which is pretty interesting to look at them & remembering some of them. We stayed there like an hour or so & it was a pleasure to start our journey in Quebec in La Cuisine. They speak in French & English as well. I recommend this place. & I feel bad that I forgot the name of the person who took care of our order. But thank you for your attention.
Gros coup de coeur pour cet endroit ! Nous y sommes allés un lundi soir dernière minute, pour deux, l'accueil a été chaleureux. La place est superbement vintage, la cuisine est a aire ouverte, derrière le comptoir on voit la demoiselle, toute cute, préparer les recettes de grands mère faites maison qu'elle vient nous servir à table, comme si nous étions tous invités à souper chez elle. L'ambiance est atypique & le service très agréable. Tout ce que nous avons commandé était délicieux & les prix sont vraiment doux. Bon rapport qualité/expérience/prix, je recommande 😊
I had the carrot soup & grilled cheese which was only $8.50 total! Great price & delicious food. The interior is decorated in a very unique, cozy way. Definitely recommend!
Probably one of my favorite culinary experiences in Quebec City, & we stumbled upon it by chance. We had the Pâte Chinois, Cipaille & Pudding Chômeur & would recommend again. Very eclectic & friendly vibe. Lots of games available to play. They all spoke English as well.
Ce restaurant est une très belle trouvaille. Nous avons été très bien accueilli, l'atmosphère vintage est atypique & on s'y sent super bien. La nourriture y été délicieuse, nous vous recommandons fortement leur houmous & leur salade tiède d'épinard. Un vrai délice !
